Cold War heats up, goes gold
DreamCatcher's stealth action thriller ready to sneak into stores for Xbox and PC September 27.
DreamCatcher Games' latest stealth action game is on its way to the factory, the company announced today. Cold War has gone gold on the Xbox and will be released in North America on the PC and Xbox September 27.
Cold War puts players in the shoes of an unfortunate American photojournalist caught in a dangerous web of intrigue behind the Iron Curtain of 1980s USSR. Shortly after arriving in Moscow on an assignment, the protagonist is stripped of possessions, beaten unconscious, and tossed in the KGB's Lubyanka prison. From there, gamers will have to use their wits to escape and piece together an international conspiracy that seeks to seize control of the country. Taking a step back from the sneak-up-and-kill-them focus of other stealth games, Cold War puts a greater emphasis on using improvised gadgets and a tricked-out X-ray camera to accomplish objectives.
Cold War is rated T for Teen and will retail for $19.99 on the Xbox and $39.99 on the PC. For more on the game, check out GameSpot's latest preview.
