Lego Indiana Jones booklet reveals unannounced Nintendo tie-ins to LucasFilm's upcoming computer-animated TV-film crossover.
At the 2008 Game Developers Conference, LucasArts held a presentation in which it discussed the forthcoming action-adventure Star Wars: The Force Unleashed. Besides discussing the extensive restructuring the publisher underwent to develop the game from scratch, project lead Haden Blackman touted the title as being an installment in the Star Wars franchise on par with the six films. The big-budget game is set between the events of the films Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith (2003) and Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope (1977).
This week, LucasArts inadvertently revealed a project based on another installment in the Star Wars film series, Star Wars: The Clone Wars. A continuation of the 2003 2D cartoon, the forthcoming effort from LucasFilm will debut as a film in theaters in mid-August that will segue into a series on the Cartoon Network and TNT cable channels later in the year. The film and series feature stylized computer-animated re-creations of major characters from the Star Wars universe in a story set between the prequels, Star Wars Episode II: Attack of the Clones (2001) and Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith (2003).
According to an advertisement on the back of the instruction booklet for Lego Indiana Jones: The Original Adventures (pictured), LucasArts will publish a Wii and DS Clone Wars game this fall. Though the shot features the CG likenesses of a young Jedi master Obi-Wan Kenobi and his apprentice Anakin Skywalker--aka the future Darth Vader--it contains no details about the game's plot. Inquiries sent to LucasArts asking about the game's story, gameplay, and whether or not it will offer Wii Remote-enabled lightsaber duels like The Force Unleashed had not been answered as of press time.
hm i think Star Wars The Clone Wars: Lightsaber Duels is the for the younger people while Star Wars The Force Unleashed is for more mature folks
Wow this article really needs fixing. The "Clone Wars" are between Episode 2 and Episode 3. Furthermore, your dates are wrong: Episode 2 came out in 2003 and Episode 3 came out in 2005. The easiest way to get a Star Wars fan pi$$ed off is by getting your SW information wrong. xD
uh huh. if i ever get this game it will be once SWTFU is getting covered in dust on my shelf ( which will be like never!)
by now everyone has seen the trailer for this when they wen to see Indiana jones:kingdom of the Krystal skull. It was one of the first trailers before the movie. It looked pretty good.....
I don't know how true this can be...they don't even have the right years for Attack of the Clones and Revenge of the Sith in theaters. They came out in 2002 and 2005.
Any Wii Star Wars game is a good one. It will be interesting to see what they do with this one. Let's hope for the best.
hmmm ? sounds interesting but im gonna wait and see what actually transpires before making any assumptions... too far in the future to say anything at all.
The reason why Lucasarts is not producing another battlefront game right now(as far as im concerned) is because the team that made battlefronts i and ii are busy making the lord of the rings: conquest. I read it in an ign interview. Anyways, this game might be interesting. My only concern is that im sure lucasarts is publishing it on wii and ds because of all the little kids who own a wii and a ds. Anyways, even if it sucks, im buying it.
uh... clone wars is only between episode 2 and 3 2 is where it all begining, for wii and ds. cool but ill only get the wii version since the ds won't have good graphics. look at lego starwars
Clone Wars is suppose to take place before Episode 2, and after Episode 1 right? If so that is still 10 years to cover in the game. ... ( no, between episodes 2 and 3)
Star Wars: The clone wars has been known about for quite a long time. Its old news, if anyone had looked into star wars they would off seen star wars the clone wars as being released in 2008. The games sound good though, looking forward to using my wii remote as a light saber.

Cool. And with approx. 20 years to cover between episodes III and IV, there's a ton of possibilities!
AWESOME!!!!! The Cartoon Series was awesome. Will definitely be looking into this. Now all I need is a good Pod-Racer game built from the ground up for the Wii-Mote and Nunchuck. (I've been talking about them making a Pod-Racer for the Wii since the Wii Came Out)
Lucas art seem to have understand how much great game using a lightsaber can be on th wii. Feeling you can really have a dual with a sith or a jedi will be great. I just hope they don't mess up thing.
Where's Battlefront 3? I mean, power to the Clone Wars, but you can cover that in BF3 as well as other lesser known Star ars events. Anyone for Ewok/Gungan slaying?
Who cares if the game is any good. Just make the lightsaber perfectly mimic the motion of the wiimote and I'm in.
Yeah they messed up the dates, Ep. II came out in 2002 I think and Ep. III did come out in 2005. Maybe the game will be good, worth a try. Force Unleashed will likely (for the most part) cover it up.
ctg867 - how can you possibly know the Wii and DS version will look AND play poor when it hasen't been released. There isn't even any screen shoots! Oh well, each to their own :) I love the Wii and DS and would like to check this out.
Star Wars the Clone Wars? Well the Cartoon Network series actually wasn't too bad. I think the games would be much better as really good looking, cartoon stylized 360/PS3 game that actually looks like the mini cartoon series. I would pick that up. But a poor looking and poor playing Wii or DS game just doesn't float my boat. I'll pass.
i hope this attracts adults and not just the kid base because we need something to bring back those good old memories.
I can have high hopes for this, but, I fear the hope will not equate to a quality video game. Prove me wrong, Lucas Arts. By the way, Gamespot, Sith did not come out in 2003, it was 2005, and Attack of the Clones was 2002.
Good news for us Wii owners. I'm sure that The Force Unleashed will have horrendous controls, so makeing clone wars exclusive will give the developers time to get the controls right on the Wii. Lego Indy should play well. I want good games with good controls on the Wii from more developers than Nintendo, please.
Cool. Another game where the wii-mote will be key and probably be just as bad as Zelda TP. Non HD star wars? Keep it.
already posted about this in the fu boards early today. Cant believe they didnt know about this before common folk
um, santiagochile, you just said attack of the clones came out twice, maybe you should look up things...
