Good for him, I assume he's gonna go off do his own thing... add his contributions where he can to other teams and then in 5-6 year's we may get to see his dream project come to life... sigh why must good things take time!!!
Clint Hocking moves to Valve
Splinter Cell, Far Cry developer now working at Valve after leaving LucasArts last month.
Former LucasArts creative director Clint Hocking has moved to Valve, according to an update on his personal Twitter account.
Hocking posted a photo of his son in the Valve HQ office in Seattle today, accompanying the post with the words: "Arrival. (and Son)".
The developer left LucasArts last month, revealing he'd found new work and was in the process of relocating out of San Francisco, California. At the time, Hocking did not reveal where he would be working next.
Hocking joined LucasArts in 2010, working on multiple unannounced projects. Before that, the developer was employed at Ubisoft, where he worked on the 2002 original Splinter Cell game and its 2005 sequel, Chaos Theory, for which he served as the game's creative director.
Hocking was also creative director on 2008's Far Cry 2.
