Oh well, looks like we have to wait till Monday for Cliffs unveiling. This better be good. Anything but a Gears of War 3 announcement and I will be pissed. Only thing I really want to see in Gears 3 is less lag. Sick and tired of wasting clip after ammo clip of lancer fire into some charging moron just to get taken out with one blast of the shotgun.

What I would love to see? A direct sequel to Unreal Championship 2 (the original XBOX game). One of the most original, unique and underrated video games ever. A beautifully violent gravity defying ballet of "gun-fu" and 3rd person melee madness. AND The only FPS to feature Raiden from Mortal Kombat!!!!

If's it's in the game. USE IT!

Id rather wield my shotty like a w-hore and kill people with skill rather than tag the walls in hopes i kill someone by luck. Or run for the mortar and the boomshot like a pusy a-s-s noob. Thats what cheap tactics are. For all i know the shotty is as personal and fair as it gets.

It's not GOW, it's new IP fighting game. It's called Epic vs. Bungie vs. Marvel vs. Capcom.

What can it be....Another Unreal Tournament or Gears Of War 3...Who knows.I personally would love to see Gears go on for 2 more games,Project Natal would be a sick addition to it.I always loved Unreal Tournament but to buy another,I wanna see major improvements.

@cboyuno - Its cool you have a different opinion. Thing is I dont see shooting at someones feet with a shotgun the entire game more tactical. Also great sniping positions where its hard to get them out of their camp site. Strategic? Well if people actually talk it could be just as much as call of duty is if people work together. The thing is, people have to talk. And the 3rd person view helps in making decisions ahead of time since you can look around corners without even being close to the corner itself. Im looking forward to a better game with gears3 also. Im just curious to see what going to happen with the multi

@Nodashi The PS3 sales in Japan have always been better then the 360 over there. It has nothing to do with God of War 3, it has to do with the fact that Sony is a Japanese brand. God of War has nothing to do with the better sales of the PS3 over in Japan.

@ flyingdutchdog Yes im a blind ps3 nuthugger yet i don't own one.. i own a xbox 360. Yup nice one. My brother has a ps3 and compared on my samsung 7series 47' hdtv. Killzone2 blows gears of war 2 out of the park. Gameplay wise gears kills killzone2... never liked the gameplay or anything but the graphics are better then gow2. Also to guy who said god of war 3 doesn't look better then gears 2.... just stop. You are kidding yourself.

My bet is GoW3 PS3 is selling better than the Xbox 360 in japan, in big part because of God of War 3 (I just noticed BOTH games are GoW3 :P), so it's only natural that Microsoft release their war hounds, and the best exclusive they have to announce now is Gears 3.

Its not UT4 Bleszinski dosnt get to involved with UT.I recon it will be Unreal 3 to boost the flagging UT universe.

An all new Unreal, 2 disc set: Disc1 = A completely new Unreal SP game Disc 2 = An all new UT MP component or (although unlikely) Gears 3 Or possibly, an unveil of the new 'People can Fly' IP. It has to be one of the above.

its more than likely GOW 3. i read up that a sneak peek trailer for GOW 3 will be out on April 8 which is the same day he is on the late night show. so who knows what it is.. might be GOW 3 might not... might even be a new edition to epic games. so who knows..and as for GOW 2.... only thing good about that game is the campaign and horde.. playin online sucks in my opinion.

killeroo7 perhaps it's you who are blind ... blind allegiance to a console does make one see things that just might not be there. I have both and personally speaking I think Gears 2 looks a tad better, but more important, it's just a better game all round.

I would think its Gears 3 but at the same time it ddnt say he has an announcment, it says hes gonna announce a new game which is different, but I hope its gears 3 its about time now cmon epic you better bring it with Gears 3 cuz Gears 2 sucked a** well mostly the multiplayer which is the big part of the game.

I'm down for anything Epic is bringing to the party.

This is too vague to be suspenseful. I think this story is more about what Fallon is up to in order to get more than channel-flippers for his show. If it is GoW3, I'd be worried that he doesn't consider it a horror. I like the franchise the way it is, i doubt it'll improve with that sort of change.

what about a follow up to shadow complex? i dunno, just a thought.

I don't see how some people think that it won't be a GoW3 trailer.. GoW2 is a year and a half old at this point, it'd be about time for a new trailer. Besides, what else is Bleszinski known for anyway?

Gears of War 3 can only be a good thing.

At this point Gears is like Lost to me. I kinda just wanna know how it ends and be done with it. Love em both, but It's about time for a wrap up.

@loky_diantro yeah but Gears and Halo both seem to get all the praise. The series gets hailed for being revolutionary and groundbreaking when there's nothing original to them at all.

cliff can u not screw up the muliplayer like in Gow2 there is too many matchmaking problems. the matchmaking system for Gow1 was the best.

if its a gears3 then it would be damn cool....gears 2 has better visuals than killzone2....but still both titles are an absolute blast...waiting for killzone3 and gears3

@BonsaiMet Xbox360 haves pretty good exclusives, sutch as Mass Effect and Left 4 Dead.

@killeroo7 - I'm no fanboy, I have all 3 major consoles and a PC... I'm pretty sure Killzone2 (like most PS3 games) told you it had 1080p capabilities on the back of the box but really it runs in 720p if memory serves me correctly... God of War III is also guilty of this shameful act. ; )

@ XanderZane gow2 looked as good as killzone2... either you don't own a 1080p hdtv or are blind..my brother has a ps3 and killzone blows gears 2 away in terms of graphics

Gears 2 was great. Looked as good as Killzone 2. No doubt GoW3 will look better then both of those games. Can't wait to see what Cliffy has been working on all this time. If it is Gears 3 it'll definitely be exclusive again. We know it won't be a PS3 game, that's for sure. LOL!!

GOW2 multiplayer got one thing right. They stopped the shotgun whoring. Maybe if the third one has the first ones multiplayer, without the shotgun whoring and no lag, it'll be perfect. And whilst GOW3 would be a welcome announcement, I'd prefer a new game altogether.
