Castlevania: Lords of Shadow hitting PC this summer

2010 action game coming to PC this summer with DLC and new storylines, weapons, battles.

Castlevania: Lords of Shadow is coming to the PC this summer, Konami announced today. Mercury Steam's action game was originally released only for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 in 2010.

Lords of Shadow for PC will include expansions Reverie and Resurrection, as well as 1080p graphics at 60 frames per second.

The game will be available on Steam, where players can unlock achievements and make use of cloud saves.

In addition, Lords of Shadow for the PC features new storylines, weapons, skills, battles, and environments not found in the original console game. A demo of the game will be on display next week during the 2013 Electronic Entertainment Expo in Los Angeles.

For more on the original Castlevania: Lords of Shadow, check out GameSpot's review. Mercury Steam is currently at work on Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2, due out sometime later this year.

It had its share of issues but I quite enjoyed it when it was all said and done.

Yes!  Loved this and ended up having it on 360 and PS3.  Was tempted to borrow a PS3 before the new one came out so I could play it again lol.  Great news!

@nasser_m200 2 might come out. As the Dark Arisen has been out for a while, it seems no PC version soon for the first game or at all.

Missed this title and this may be what I need to pick it up. Wish they would bring back the 2D Castlevania and Metroid games though. 3D is overrated.

I'm curious to see how this sells on the PC considering the fact that Castlevania was always a console game and that PC-only gamers aren't familiar with the series..

Lets see if it sells like hot cakes or it gets pirated by the thieves as usual.

I don't think PC players are Castlevania fans....still though its my personal fav game of the year 2010 and imo the single-most underrated game of 2010...its absolutely rich in quality but I'm still wondering how the controls will feel on a keyboard..for a game like this an analog stick is more preferable.

@Navardo95 Don't worry about the control factor dude. You can always plugin a gamepad or more preferably a 360 usb gamepad

Lol, Konami killed the series when it let Mercury steam to make this game, its ShitoVania or GodofWarVania. Konami is worst than Crapcom now.

Kitanishi

@Metronoid  Oh yes, it killed the series so much that Lords of Shadow became the best selling title in the whole franchise~

Oh shit. The opportunity to play Castlevania: LoS in more than a janky 20/30 frames per second? Count me in. This game is beautiful. Its shit framerate was its only real flaw.

I've heard mixed feedback for this title. Still, if it turns up in a Steam sale several months from now I'll definitely pick it up.

Hmm.  My PC can easily handle this, but I typically much prefer action/adventure gaming on console.  Loved this game immensely.  Want ultimate edition on console too!  *Wrings hands indecisively*

Actually REALLY looking forward to this. Expecting it to look gorgeous on PC. Love these type of games.

I loved the 360 version. Absolutely gorgeous enviroments that make the world that much more convincing. Some of them among the best I've seen this generation. I lost myself completely in this game even though Patrick Stewart's 'contribution' as narrator unfortunately was appauling. He must have been drunk or taken some drugs when his lines were recorded. Or maybe he just had lost his will to live, either one of those really.

A game that has got a lot of  negative feedback for not being a real Castlevania game. And it's not. More like the PS2 ones but much better. The gameplay is somewhat repetitive but I found a lot of enjoyment from all the weird locals you visit and as I said the absolutely outstanding artistic design. The world feels like it could exist in a quantum time-pocket. Much like the very recent Metro Last Light.

And how it blends different kind of mythologies into a cohesive whole. I loved the weird encounters with lesser known Eastern european folklore like meeting the horrifying Baba Yaga.

I really don't like the classic Castlevania games. They're not for me, so take it with a grain of sand when I say that this probably is my favourite Castlevania game. Atleast on par with Symphony of the night.

Nonetheless, a VERY good game that grows on you.

I never got the chance to get LOS for consoles so getting a revamped version will be nice especially with enhanced visuals. I loled at the 1080p at 60 FPS comment. What if I want to run 1440p at 120 FPS? :P Definitely looking forward to it.

Best Castlevania ever made. IGA wishes he could make a Castlevania game as good as this one, but he only knows how to copy and paste sprites and turn the series into some bad anime.

I'm more than likely going to get alot of flack for this but I hope Konami will bring Lords of Shadow to Wii U at some point. I am in no way a Nintendo fanboy or trying to defend Nintendo but I think LOS would do well on Wii U. That being said, I'm happy for all you PC gamers that you all are getting LOS. I hope you all enjoy it. At least there's Mirror of Fate on 3DS.
