So basically, the US gets all the good stuff while the UK is left in the lurch with a sh!tty tin case and 'making of' DVD. F-ck. You.

The upcoming Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 game Resident Evil 5 may be crawling with disgusting zombie-like cannibals, but Capcom is doing its best to package them attractively for the masses.
To that end, the publisher today revealed the contents of its $89.99 Collector's Edition version of the game. The $30 surcharge above and beyond the standard version of Resident Evil 5 nets players a bonus disc with a "Making of..." feature and a digital art gallery, but the real appeal comes from a smattering of packed-in extras.
Much like the premium edition of Capcom's Street Fighter IV, Resident Evil 5 will come with a figurine of one of the game's main characters: Chris Redfield. Further trinkets include a Bioterrorism Security Assessment Alliance patch and an Africa-shaped pendant bearing the game's mysterious "Kijuju" mantra. To hold all those goodies, the Collector's Edition also comes with a messenger bag bearing the logo of Tricell, Inc., a company somehow tied to the strange behavior of the game's inhabitants.
The Collector's Edition is scheduled to launch alongside the standard versions of the game on Friday, March 13. For more, check out GameSpot's previous coverage of Resident Evil 5.
I will be happy to pay $90 for this (I have a thing for video game and anime-related messenger bags). Yeah, that makes me crazy, I know.
I have been waiting for this game for 4 1/2 years. I'm just not sure about paying $90 for the game, a collectors disk that I will only watch once and other useless items that I just cant see myself using. Why not import the other Resident Evil titles? GIVE THE PEOPLE WHAT THEY WANT!
Don't be suprised that Japan gets all the cool CE's. I mean, were talking about the gameing capital of the world.
I reserved this version before I knew what was in it. . . not to sure if I still want this version now. The patch and pendant are kinda cool I guess.... the metal case is definitely awesome.
$30 for what a bag a figurine and a sh!tty making of disc (that nobody wants). For that price they should of thrown in the whole RE series compatible for the new consoles. I'm definately buying the game, but not this garbage.
Only complete losers with NO life will spend $90 for this... The game is gonna be the sh!t... but this is just ridiculous.
I can't help but think that they'll do what they do with most games, like CoD 5, and make this impossible to get hold of where I live, I'm willing to pay $90 or even £90 for that, IF they actually sell it, but I suppose they'll just do a steel box in England like most bloody "collectors edition" games =/ And I've just found this... http://www.escapistmagazine.com/forums/read/9.84438
as great as that sound i'm going to avoid CEs for now they eat away at your money. I made the mnistake for buying the legendery addtion of halo.
looks cool...the whole 'making of....' dvd!! i would deff watch that, dunno so much about the messenger
to darkchaostitan i know what you mean but being honest after watching degeneration when you consider what tricell are doing its on different from umbrella. in the end it traces back to progenitor virus that the founding members of umbrella discovered anyway now i sound like a complete resi nerd lol
Sorry, accidentally hit enter. What I was saying was GTA IV had the only CE that I thought was worth it at Ninety bucks. But, I still know people will buy it just cause.
I waited to buy this Collecters Edition for 5 months just waiting to see what was inside and I'm beyond dissapointed. This is one of the worst CE's I've ever seen. Mainly just because of the price tag. I understand that it's RE5 and all, but really? This craps worth seventy bucks top, not near ninety. GTA IV
Actually the only thing I really like about it is the case. I preferably like Umbrella, even if it's worn out.
That's alot of bang for your buck. However just because it's more than what you get for most collector's editions doesn't mean the price itself it feasible. Still well worked though.
Looking forward to this game. But I never gonna spend anymore money on collectors editions unless it got real cool stuff like a BB gun or something in it. ;-)
I purchased the collector's edition Gears of War 2 and didn't really think it was worth the extra money. once opened is it still collectible. In my opinion go with the regular version
what does the limited amazon edition have in addition to the collectors edition, i mean it is priced at almost a hundred dollars more at $180
@ChickenHounk911 Making of DVD's are great motivation for want to be video game programmers. The Bungie disc in Halo3, for CE was great and the FO3 wasnt bad.
This is quite an expensive price tag but guys, think about it, compare to the other limited editions like Halo 3 and GTA IV, this is like 1/3 cheaper!
Well, personally I think it's cool. I've been waiting for Resi 5 for so long now, and to get stuff like this seems kinda cool. I have an Umbrella logo bag and I'd love a Tricell bag, the patch is good too. But, it's not coming out over in the UK by the looks of things it's not coming here. And Amazon aren't shipping it here. No justice! All you guys who can get it dont want it and I want it but can't get it. :(
Only reason i would get a collectors edition is they had an extra dlc, or add ons to the game. Other than that most of the stuff that comes with it is useless.
$90? Insane. They should include some additional CONTENT. $30 for a bunch of crap that may as well not come with it.
I don't think I have EVER popped in any of my "making of" DVD's, If was the game was good, I was too busy playing it. A plastic toy, a patch and a bag, for $30 more dollars, no thanks. I will probably use my coupons from Gamefly and buy it that way. Always cheaper than used at Gamestop.
and what if the game after release is just mediocre or simply an OK game???... MAYBE i could buy extra stuff for a AAA game, nonetheless $30 is quite much money for a plastic toy, a cheap dvd, a crappy pach and a ugly bag... The pendant and the steel box looks insanely cool, i have to say, but don't justify $30. no thanks, i will only buy the standar and cheap edition... when i get my PS3 that is.
Uugh! I never wasted my cash on any games bonus content crap. I'll mainly be playing the game so thats that only thing im gonna get.
Looking forward to it, but I don't think I'll be buying the collectors edition for RE5. Only one game this last 12 months has attracted me to the collector's ed. and that's Fallout 3. Such a good game and totally worth the extra few quid I spent to get the collector's ed. with a bobblehead inside :)
Collectors not included, trinkets are just garbage after a few months to the rest of us. All that extra stuff is cool I guess, but all I really want is the game.
Great another special edition I going to have to pre-order I swear I will be eating trash by the end of the year.
i dont know if i want the collectors edition. i dont care about all the lame trinkets. i want re degeneration and or some exclusive content.
