The upcoming Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 game Resident Evil 5 may be crawling with disgusting zombie-like cannibals, but Capcom is doing its best to package them attractively for the masses.
To that end, the publisher today revealed the contents of its $89.99 Collector's Edition version of the game. The $30 surcharge above and beyond the standard version of Resident Evil 5 nets players a bonus disc with a "Making of..." feature and a digital art gallery, but the real appeal comes from a smattering of packed-in extras.
Much like the premium edition of Capcom's Street Fighter IV, Resident Evil 5 will come with a figurine of one of the game's main characters: Chris Redfield. Further trinkets include a Bioterrorism Security Assessment Alliance patch and an Africa-shaped pendant bearing the game's mysterious "Kijuju" mantra. To hold all those goodies, the Collector's Edition also comes with a messenger bag bearing the logo of Tricell, Inc., a company somehow tied to the strange behavior of the game's inhabitants.
The Collector's Edition is scheduled to launch alongside the standard versions of the game on Friday, March 13. For more, check out GameSpot's previous coverage of Resident Evil 5.
