Brain-eating zombies are often given a bad rap--on account of the brain eating, and all--but never let it be said that good work hasn't been done in their name. Today, Capcom, in partnership with the American Red Cross, said that it would be marking the March 13 launch of Resident Evil 5 for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 with a blood drive.
The blood drive will be held at the World of Wonder Gallery in Hollywood, California, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. PST. Those who willingly divest themselves of vital life fluid will have a chance to win a number of prizes, including limited-edition Resident Evil 5 Blood Drive collectibles such as posters, bumper stickers, and buttons, as well as copies of the game.
Capcom will also be raffling off a number of the red Xbox 360 Elite consoles that come bundled with a copy of Resident Evil 5, which Microsoft officially announced last week. Donation eligibility requirements can be found on the Red Cross' official Web site.
