Capcom displays Chaos Legion

The company's "gothic opera" action game is shown in Las Vegas.

Capcom showed off a build of Chaos Legion, its upcoming PlayStation 2 action game, at its press event yesterday. The game, described as a "gothic opera," follows a swordsman named Sieg Wahrheit who must bring down an old friend named Victor Delacroix before chaos overruns the world. Chaos Legion seems to be a mix of action adventure, RPG, and brawling elements with an interesting story.

Chaos Legion also puts a twist on single-player melee combat by allowing gamers to summon a legion of allies to counter blitz attacks from relentless enemies. There are seven different legion units available for assistance, each with its own signature weaponry. Chaos Legion will span more than 13 different levels with rendered environments that will attempt to truly produce a dark gothic opera.
