Capcom announces Shantae
Capcom's "booty-shakin' genie" is coming to the Game Boy Color.
Though most developers have abandoned Game Boy Color development in favor of making Game Boy Advance games, Capcom has just announced a new GBC game called Shantae. According to Capcom, Shantae is a "booty-shakin' genie."
The game puts players in the role of Capcom's "booty-shakin' genie," and they must shake their booty to defeat Risky Boots, the insidious pirate. Players can defeat Risky by whipping things with their hair and using the aforementioned posterior jiggling to transform into various creatures, each of which has its own abilities. Each transformation requires players to use some rhythm-game skills to make Shantae's "booty" shake properly. The game will also have GBA support in the form of an additional mode and enhanced color.
Shantae is being developed by WayForward Technologies and is scheduled for release in March.
