Capcom announces Mega Man Anniversary Collection.
GameCube and PlayStation 2 retrospective set to feature eight classic games and bonus content.
Mega Man Anniversary Collection is a compilation of classic Mega Man games that originally appeared on the Nintendo Entertainment System, the Super Nintendo Entertainment System, the PlayStation game console, and various arcade systems. Currently in development for the GameCube and PlayStation 2, the Mega Man Anniversary Collection is slated to include the first eight entries in the series--Mega Man 1 through Mega Man 8--as well as conversions of two arcade games that have never appeared on any home console to date--Mega Man: The Power Battle and Mega Man 2: The Power Fighters. In addition to the 10 games, the compilation will feature unlockable bonus content, including producer interviews (exclusive to the GameCube version), 30 minutes of anime (exclusive to the PlayStation 2 version), an art gallery, and a history of the series. Mega Man Anniversary Collection is slated to ship in spring of 2004 for the GameCube and PlayStation 2.
