Capcom digital media specialist Neidel "Haunts" Crisan confirmed the news on Twitter, answering questions about whether the PC version of the game will launch later than its Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 cousins, saying, "Yes the intention is to have them all launch at around the same time. Should have more deets on PC very soon."

In response to further queries about whether the game will ditch Microsoft's Games for Windows Live service in favour of Valve's Steamworks platform, he replied "It's coming to Steam, yes, we'll be transitioning from GFWL to Steam."

Ultra Street Fighter IV was announced during this year's annual EVO fighting tournament, and will feature five new playable characters, six new stages, and a range of gameplay tweaks and balance changes when it launches in 2014.
