Call of Juarez in Stores Now

Press Release

SAN FRANCISCO – JUNE 12, 2007 – Today Ubisoft, one of the world's largest video game publishers, announced that Call of Juarez for the Xbox 360 video game and entertainment system from Microsoft and for the PC has shipped to retailers nationwide. Call of Juarez, developed by Techland, is rated "M" for Mature and has an MSRP of $59.99 for Xbox 360 and an MSRP of $49.99 for the PC.

Call of Juarez provides the only Western first-person shooter experience on Xbox 360 and PC, capturing the brutality and ruthlessness that turned the American frontier into a theater of war. Players will experience legendary Wild West action including duels at high noon, gruesome shootouts and barroom brawls. The intense multiplayer modes pit bands of money-hungry outlaws against one another through a variety of game options and terrain. An authentic Wild West single-player campaign puts players into the world of both the hunter AND the hunted, each equipped with contrasting weaponry, styles and motives.

"What better setting for an FPS than the Wild West?" said Tony Key, vice president of marketing at Ubisoft U.S. "Guns, horses, gold, dynamite – Call of Juarez has it all."

Key Features:

  • Wild West: As seen in some of Hollywood's most memorable feature films, immerse yourself in the most authentic Wild West environments and scenarios ever experienced, including saloon brawls, train robberies, old-time shootouts, and bare-knuckle fights.
  • Dual Gameplay: Play as two opposing characters, each equipped with differing skills, abilities and weaponry. As Billy, use your bow and craftiness to sneak in and out of trouble; as Ray, stop enemies in their tracks with your mesmerizing preaching, only to take them down with your six-shooter moments later.
  • Multiplayer: Shoot your way out of infamous Wild West scenarios in the ONLY Wild West first-person shooter available to play on the Xbox LIVE online gaming service. Modes include Attack and Defend, Death Match and Retrieval.
  • Duel to the Death: Battle the most merciless gunslingers in the world as you strive to become the fastest in Call of Juarez's EXCLUSIVE Duel mode.
  • Weapons and Equipment: Saddle up as you take to dirt roads equipped with genuine Wild West weaponry and equipment like the standard-issue six-shooter, double-gauge shotgun or traditional bow and arrow.
  • Reactive AI: Encounter intelligent Old West enemies, each with individual skills, who use their environments to their advantage, employ suppressive fire, and work together as a group to shoot you down.
