I don't care for Kanye much. His earlier music was decent, but he needs to grow up. His mother would have slapped him upside his head if she was still alive. As for this even, I'm not paying $150 for that show. It is for a good cause, but I'm just not interested in attending. I have better things to do.

The only thing standing in their way from becoming another Billion dollar gross is us and even if they have this concert/competition thing..but they should now that there is fanboy-ism in games...it's like..U have the money u buy the game' and believe me people are gonna get BF3 and some people will get MW3 and most people will most probably get both...my point is, there's no need to have this thing..if your game is good then let it speak for itself...Publicity is important but not to a game that had like 7 games in the franchise and they're not buying anyone on this helping-veterans gimmick...If they wanted to help the veterans, they could have done it YEARS ago..and that my friend is the bottom line :P

Watch The Throne was so-so. My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy was actually a great album, and I'm not even a rap fan, but the way any samples used were implemented and the instrumentation was something special. That being said, this seems strange. I'm interested to see how Activision reacts to what seems like is going to be a big drop in sales due to this hype for hating CoD. Some of it is warranted, post-MW or MW2 got too samey despite those actually being quality games, and I agree that gamers should let them know they won't buy the same thing twice, even if the formula is actually quite good (but now stale). As I recall..Kanye's last solo outing "My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy" is the greatest critically rated album of all time and is a masterpiece.

If i had to choose music to represent a Call of Duty game it sure as heck wouldn't be Kanye. That's like me suggesting Barry Manilow to represent a Call of Duty game. It's just out of left field. Now if they had All Shall Perish, or a huge act like Metallica representing the game THAT type of music makes more sense. Really intense rocking or or voice modulation.... Hmmm not a hard choice.

I think Activision should stick to what they're supposed to be doing. Music clearly isn't their strong point. The only plastic (w)rapper they should bother with is the one covering the box of a game, ready for purchase.
