@ joshgardner ummmmm ure expecting to pick up Bad Company 3 instead of MW3, that's gonna be quite the feat since BC3 has even been announced yet. Unless you're one of the morons who don't realize that the Battlefield series includes games other than Bad Company. Perhaps you mean Battlefield 3?

I'll wait until Activision is done with all the lawsuits against them to possibly pre-order this game. Have to see what the perks and some of the killstreaks are in this game as I cannot stand all the RC/XD & Second Chance wh0res in Black Ops that play the game. Between those people and the One Man Army Pro Tubers in MW2 and those BO wh0res, CoD has become such a tedious and sad game to play online. Great campaign, but lacking MP. Much rather just pick up BF:BC3 and go nuts - hopefully we can blow up crap again like in BC2

i like call of duty alot, but they are running out of stuff to do, alot of the wars have been taken, MW3 could be the last one, unless they made one on the korean war, or do a war scenario like the makers of Homefront did

mw3 and bf3.. ya they gunna b top games of 2011!! both games r awesome!! just have lil diffrent playstyles which is good!! and thank god infinity is back on!! deff gunna get rid of crap ops! and play mw2 and mw3 lol plus bf3 and brink .. now if only a solid rpg game would come out!!! o well.. blade and soul for pc will kick ass!!!

No doubt this installment will have problems like all the others: the MP40 in W@W, One Man Army noob tubes in MW2, and RC-XD/Second Chance on Black Ops. But these are all minor flaw compared to the fact CoD is always shallow so gets dull after a week. BFBC2, however... I'm still going to get it though. I now I'm not alone in regretting it.

All I want is another COD that can be played in a competitive way like we did and still do with COD:MW. The only way that I can see this happen will be dedicated servers unlike MW2 and a usable console. COD will never die, but for the ProMod guys an additional competitive game will rock.

i agree with uncagedpaul, its been going down hill since cod 4 for me, i doubt illl buy it, especially if price and soap aint in it. MW3 will = fail

Dont know about any of you guys but Call of duty does not interest me any more. They just bang one out every year with no improvements. The best one for me was COD4, MW2 was ok, WAW was kinda boring and Black ops is no different to the previous 3 games! They have the same marketing scam as apple lol. I will stick to Killzone 3 and MAG and skip MW 2.5 i think

@RitsukoEX all the cod fanboys will buy it for the consoles. bf2 was on of the best shooters i have ever played. there were no kill streaks and that other plus the ranking structure on bf2 was the best.

Is there going to be safe guards to prevent hackers from attacking the multiplayer mode like they attacked MW2 multiplayer which was very childish and the only way they could win?

I still play (and enjoy) MW2, and I also play Battlefield Bad Company 2 but I would not touch Black Ops with a barge pole. I would play more CoD4 but the lobby system is so unstable. I think I will get both MW3 and Battlefield 3.

I don't care what CoD its is, everyone knows they're the best.

Everyone went ape sh*t when MW2 was announced, the true sequel to one of the highest grossing games ever. I bought it like everyone else did and enjoyed it for about 5 minutes, probably like everyone else did. Thing is, MW3, I just don't care... To put in into perspective, I picked up MW2 the other day for the first time in 6 months and I jumped into a team deathmatch with a party of half a dozen 8 year olds arguing about who was the first one to prestige level 10,000,000. Cracking game, i'll never get those ten minutes of my life back...

Does anyone know what Graphics Engine MW3 is using? I heard it was the same old engine just updated....again. which if true would not stand a chance against the new Frostbite2 Engine.

If only the REAL developers of Modern Warfare were on board... sigh. @OnslaughtHE The two gentlemen who were co-founders of Infinity Ward were indeed fired over copyright issues on the MW brand vs Activision. Big money won and currently they are rolling out something new from their company "Respawn".

Sweet, I love seeing Modern Warfare 2 released a third time in three years for another 60 bucks.

Not excited at all, The CoD multiplayer experience is so paper thin now and i never got the idea of after prestige, u lose virtually everything. We all know that if these developers didnt try to out-do eachother every year, maybe take an extra year of polish, hold a beta? then CoD would still have some of its quality today. At this point, it's too late.

Basically what to expect: Good SP, boring old MW2-BO MP

I want to finish out the sp for the series, so I'll buy this game. I'm nervous about it though. Didn't love Black Ops so I'll never buy another Treyarch game so if MW3 sucks I'm done with COD for good and I'll wait for Respawn to make a true successor to the work done by the real Infinity Ward.

I'll buy this if this is great, If not, I'll destroy it's reputation... Simple as that....

Same game different title, bet you a buck they havn't done anything with the enemy AI from the first game.....both the MW and COD titles lack any real change to make me want to buy this SEQUALASAURUS...give it a month and the 2nd hand bins will be overflowing.

Even though I swore I wouldn't buy this after MW2, I know I will on day one like everyone else out there!

Does anyone know if the writers for this game will be the same? I know that some of the development team for Infinity Ward was fired...

Nov. 8? One week after Uncharted 3 and three days before Skyrim? Not to mention Battlefield 3 coming out Q4 2011. Sorry Activision, but there are too many good games coming out this year. Modern Warfare 3 is a pass.

MW2 was better than Black ops.. but no one plays MW2 anymore because black ops was newer. hopefully this will be a new cod thats actually good

I still see that people are complaining about a video game. just goes to show that there's people out there that let their lives revolve around video games to the point where they spent part of their day bashing the games they hate on the internet. we hate some video games, some movies, some music, some actors/actresses. just deal with it and stop crying like a little baby. and for those kind of people, hating anything mainstream and constantly talking about a company milking doesn't make you cool. it just makes you look sad and obsessed with cows. let's just give MW3 a chance. if you like it, play it. if you don't, then don't.
