Bungie seeking beta testers for next game

I will PAY to get in. Bungie's so epic, not even Activision can mess them up.

Sounds awesome! I hope that the world of sorts is a sort of a community. I don't want it to be simply another fps like COD. Call of Duty is great but it lacks the community that i wish it would have.

@Nynkil4t3 No, I'm pretty sure that Windows made Microsoft big. Anyways, I was never much of a fan of Halo, but this might be interesting. I guess I'll have to wait and see.

I want to try out alot of new games for the xbox 360, and Playstation 3 beta because I'm both and favorite system so yeah I really want tryout this new game.

They should buy the rights of Myth back and do a great sequel but I'm afraid it's going to be another shooter aimed at the masses, maybe in MMO form. Going with Activision is an even worse idea than going with MS.

I dont think activison would want another MMORPG (World Of Warcraft), And i just dont see Bungie doing on either, But who knows.

I've said it before...I refuse to pay subscription fees. Count me out if its an mmorpg. Im DEFINITELY not paying those fees to activision

I really think that being a game's tester would be the best small/part time job ever =) I would games test for alot of developers, send me an invite Bungie =P

How do we have too many MMOs already? There are three that are worth playing (Eve, WoW, and LOTRO) and hopefully one more in the near future with the new bioware game. The market is still hugely open. Also lilflex its called the internet.

It sounds to me like they are combining World of Warcraft with a first person shooter style. It could work if instead of having a beginning to an intergalactic battle, they focus on on constant invasion and repelling action. Jumping online would mean that you can either be part of defending your home turf or be part of the assault team that takes the fight to them. This is going to take some time to achieve. I wonder if they will also try to have cross-platform play? Might be a difficult task but it's been done for PC and 360, meh I may just be asking too much

Not to trash Halo or its fans, but the 1st Halo was the best the 2nd and 3rd titles were not as good. I think Bungie has potential to make a game series were each sequel has everything the first title does, but expands on it very well. I think they can easily surpass the Halo series. This title may be an FPS that works like an MMO in the way that new content is added weekly, but its still just an FPS game.

Well if this isn't just a publicity stunt I don't know what is.. Calm down Bungie, we all know you're going to produce a blockbuster (crosses fingers and hopes).

best not to get your hopes up then you wont end up getting crushed by disappointment like so many naive fool do.

Sounds like there is some serious online gameplay going on since they need so many testers.

They may make another great game or series but there's still going to be some reviewer ready to pounce and say "It's good, but its not Halo". Then all the demons will jump out.

@bonereaper69. That makes no sense. It's like saying a director can only be known for one franchise and not their work in general. Better not tell Christopher Nolan that.

The only game bungie will ever be known for is Halo, if its not a Halo game which its not, their will be no critical acclaim, no matter what it is that comes from them.

@Doolum They aren't making another Halo, Reach was Bungie's last. That at least means a different IP, probably a new one. I find that really exciting because Bungie is a very talented studio that was just stuck with halo for too long. So bro, if your gonna comment please keep up with the topic.

I'm a sucker for new, fun and exciting ideas. And a life-like world with infinite stories to tell sounds just like the kind of mould-breaking stuff I'd root for =)

Hopefully as good as halo was when it first came out. I might check out the multiplayer sometime to see how its going

This should be rather interesting in that both company's have had A rated games and hopefully bringing the most creative together we shall have epic awesomeness across all platforms YAY GAMES :D

sounds like they have a big idea hopefully they can implement it and Activision dont put their s#it-tarnish on it and give these guys free reign to do what they do best. And to falloutguy77 who said "Please dont be another exclusive" read the article before you comment you idiot. Two words: Paragraph. Four.

From the sounds of it it seems like they are going to be making a game that continues even while you're not playing. Either it will update itself as soon as you load into it giving the impression that time has actually passed while you've not been playing or it will be an mmo of sorts. I just wish they would give us some information already. :P
