Free alternative costume, theme for Atari's action game now on Xbox Live Marketplace; three new missions also available for cheap.
Gamers who stewed their eye of newt and toe of frog in a cauldron in hopes of casting a spell to summon some new goodies for Bullet Witch, your Wiccan prayers have been answered.
Atari today released the first downloadable content for its Xbox 360 shooter Bullet Witch. Now available for free are a Bullet Witch Theme Pack for Xbox 360 dashboards and a new White Witch costume for the game's protagonist, the gun-toting, spellcasting Alicia.
Those willing to part with some change can also download some new missions. An all-new mission named Dynamite Beauty and two "enhanced versions" of the previously released Clad in Streaming Black are each available for 20 Microsoft points ($0.25).
Bullet Witch was released in February and developed by Japanese gamemaker Cavia. Gamers control Alicia in the year 2013 as she takes on a demonic horde attempting to eradicate mankind.
Bullet Witch is rated M for Mature and retails for $49.99. For more information, read GameSpot's review.
Finally! Never has there been so much rejoicing as there has been at the Gamefaqs Bullet Witch board. I'm not sure if the rejoicing is for the added costumes and missions or for putting an end to the constant topics inquiring about said costumes. Three more to go...
Great price. I would like more content at these prices. Atari, get what money you can out of this game while you can.
I'm sure that somebody out there will be moaning about having to pay for their additional content...
25 cents? I'm pretty sure there was a fad where you had to pump quaters to play, what was it... oh yeah, I remember, they were called arcades and now they are an endangered species, so why are they doing this besides for more cash from a game that no one bought?
this game lacks so much and ppl with their own stupid opions on it omgz this game pawns blah blah blah ur welcome to ur own. but its clear this game is bad. its more of a rental and thats all its not worth the money. its so stupid to play thru the same 5 missons over and over to get point to upgrade for what oh to beat the same lvls over again. then theyll say well theres new missons to download. Wow yes let me put more $ into a lacking game 25 cents are u kidding me? it mine as well be free. waste waste waste
COSTUMES!!!!! The game's been out for 6 months in Japan and they already released a school girl outfit, and a fairy costume http://img166.imageshack.us/img166/6928/cosbw024bm.jpg soooooo it's uh.... this is what to expect from japanese developers on DLC. Expect every female character to get a school girl outfit.
You know, for a game that didn't do as well as it probably should have, it's nice to know that the DLC is inexpensive. Probably one of the best incentive to continue playing the game, even. A quarter for a new mission? Who in their right mind would turn that down?
Great game, everyone should try it out before they listen to naysayers. She has awesome spells, the standard gunfire, and they animated her really well. Her jumps look powerful and real. I wish the costume was available to silver members to tho :( Also, the freaks in the subway are totally creeptastic. Worse than Silent hill.
ghsacidman, Why are you so concerned with people playing a game that you clearly don't like? Does it somehow affect your life? Your IGN comment fails on all accounts. By that logic, God Hand is a terrible game since IGN rated it poorly (3.0), eventhough other sites have given it rather positive scores and has a cult following (ala Bullet Witch). Grow up.
first of all, the game's terrible, nobody wants it in the first place. second, you couldn't just give it out for free??? Remember the time where they have free downloaded addons? geez.
Eh, I played the demo on XBL and was completely unimpressed. The price for the content looks pretty killer though. I'd be really happy if I liked the game.
I didn't like this game at all - and I rented it for free! I couldn't even play past the second level ... that's how much I disliked this game. I didn't HATE it, I just didn't like it. I wanted to like it... *sigh* I'd be all for a better-developed sequel, though.
they released on of the worst next gen games and then charge money for the rest of the game soon after?
This is great news for people who actually played the game and own it as opposed to the people who say they did and hated it when all they did was read a few reviews.
one of the worst games on 360. if it was bargain priced people would more likely buy the game. as for the content, why cant all content be that cheap
To the dude who said "I don't follow reviews"... Your at Gamespot, if you don't follow reviews you should go to IGN like everyone else who enjoys buying crappy commercialized games.
"Now available for free are a Bullet Witch Theme Pack for Xbox 360 dashboards.." Uhmm..I can't find it on the marketplace...?
yeah i may pick this up during the summer i go back and play all of the games i missed plus they are cheap by then
