Borderlands 2 'Mr. Torgue' DLC confirmed

Gearbox Software confirms Mr. Torgue's Campaign of Carnage expansion coming to new shooter; release date TBA.
As was rumored, the next expansion for Borderlands 2 is called Mr. Torgue's Campaign of Carnage, Gearbox Software confirmed today. However, no further details concerning the content are available.
According to the Borderlands 2 Wikia page, Torgue is one of the weapons manufacturers in Borderlands 2. If the content's name is any indication, the new DLC may focus on the man who runs this outfit.
Mr. Torgue's Campaign of Carnage will follow Captain Scarlett and Her Captain's Booty, which was released in October for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC.
There are currently four planned add-ons for Borderlands 2. Each will be available as a $10 stand-alone purchase or through the game's $30 DLC season pass. For more on Borderlands 2, check out GameSpot's review.

Those Three Way Hulk's Torgue makes are SICK! Use those to blast through Stalkers. Can't wait for some more DLC for this game.
This is the King of launch ready DLC. I guess that is a good thing. I will still wait and watch.
2 Like Torgue weapons suck. Super slow rate of fire and bullet speed... Powerful, yes, but Jakobs' revolvers take the cake anytime.
@Skargamer The explosion effect comes in handy sometimes though, works better against the Hyperion mechs and what not.

I've been told from Gearbox that in the future they will focus on making the players who are not really into co-op like myself able to play without certain failure certain missions and dlcs because I'm not even gonna try the first dlc since none of my gaming friends even play this. There were a couple missions in the story where if I didn't play cheap I would have never got through them. And from the looks of this dlc it looks like it won't be for the single player. Sad because I love this game.
Dude, I'm up to 100 hours+ on this thing all on my ownsome.. Aint nothing stopped me yet. Dont even bother to use Gunzerker most of the time. My awesome weapons at Level 36 just mow everything down.
@smoothyplum26 Dude I got through the first dlc just fine on single player, so you either aren't very good or get better weapons.
1 Like BL2 definitely has fewer loot chests, and the drops are fairly weak. I'm level 30 and I've found I think 2 purple weapons. LOTS of white and green crap.
i've finished the game at level 39 .. found only 4-5 orange items ?????
still searching/hoping for that (we don't need water) smg from 1st BL

4 Like With the way the loot system works, $10 for Captain scarlet was extra terrible when all i saw was trash items(whites and greens) popping(not pooping) from the fallen and chests. All you do is head to a certain location where a named-npc is if target is not there you quit and try again.... probably 1/5 chance if not more.., then you farm them about x10 or greater depending. Instead of it being area's you can farm that have a great chance to drop what your looking for and all loot can drop anywhere(it would be like a dungeon run instead of a frustrating npc hunt. Anyways, the DLC was neat.. but I ran through the whole thing seeing nothing but TERRIBLE loot rates, i think the dlc takes only 1hr to beat. 2-3hrs if you do everything.
2 Like @Master_Vexov This is an aRPG dude. Seems like you've never played an aRPG before. D3 drop rates are WAY lower. Torchlight drop rates are like 1/3000 champions. Do I need to mention PSO drop rates? What are you 10 years old? BL2 drop rates for a lot of bosses are 2-5% with some exceptions being ultra low. 2% is freakin fantastic in the aRPG world.
well, DOOD, i played plenty of ARPG, D1,D2,D3,Torch 2, Phantasy stars, and others. I know what drop rates are like, D3 ... holy fk pleave don't open that dimension of complaints. What does age really have to do with an opinion... did you really just lower yourself to all the other idiots that use that shit??.. yep you did now your just included with them. Who fking cared about the legendary drop rates... I said all i fking got was WHITES all fking over through my playthrough.. the vendors are filled with fking whites... my untired playthrough at lvl 50 was terrible as it was filled with fking whites... i went through the untire thing without upgrading anything, until i opened thoes chests at the end and got a class mod. I know about the fking low %'s and farming as I did that legitly in D2 and phantasy stars, so you can back off that pathetic shit you brought.
@saucex4 @Master_Vexov That may be true, but Borderlands still "felt" better than B2 does and these guys have perfectly reasonable arguments. It's definitely true there are far few loot chests in B2 than the original.

7 Like @Master_Vexov Your full of crap. The loot system is the exact same as the main game, there's no increase or decrease. Second, there's only 1 random NPC (big daddy/lil sis) and they're not that rare. Third, all loot can drop anywhere the rates are just higher on bosses and mini bosses, I've seen orange weapons in chests and in vending machines they're just extremely rare. Fourth, there are 9 main quest missions and 19 side quests, which all take at the minimum 6 hours to complete. Lastly, the last mission of the main quest Scarlett drops a blue pistol every time and the Skull chests (6 of them I believe) in the armory are high level chests. I've gotten a orange out of them 7/8 times and have only seen blue rarity and up.
I think your the one full of crap, Big daddy and lil sis?, there is a bunch of named npcs that have a chance to load in like every place. There is even some big Varkid named short at Verm that some random varkid that can grow beyond Ultimate that drops rare head pieces and other lewt. You can find an orange anywhere, but the chances are so rare that I havn't seen one nor has my friend, bro or cousin (but i guess it still counts in your book doesn't matter just how low the chances are).. oh and this includes BL2 itself. 9 quest missions.. wow thats a lot.. especaily how short and quick they are.. i guess you had some bad items or your just bad even with all the amazing loot you seem to run into that thoes very quick missions took you forever... i guess we can applie that to that maxium number you gave that includes the side missions. Wow... a BLUE PISTOL EVERY TIME.. that shity always the same except in slight stats pistol of captain scarlet?... wow... you need a fking smack. And yay... thoes chests you get at the end only opened once unlesss you pick up the do-over mission so you can open them 1 last time. Playthrough 3?... nope sorry, awsome gearbox removed unlimited playthroughs... now u just need to remake charaters i guess.. or do the cheat to cheat the bastards at gearbox. I got an orange out of the 2 trys, then I do cheats to get back into the room and have several legendarys now.. i hate cheating but there REALLY isn't much to do in the game. So, who is full of crap?, HEY BLUE PISTOL!!!!! OMG OMG OMG, the same shitty pistol (wow this just blew my arguement away!!, GJ)
@Master_Vexov yeah borderlands 1 had way more loot chests in the areas and foes drop weapons most of the time borderlands 2 lacked that and even the loot chance relic was a joke it rarely worked.
yep, my group would be fighting over the very few chests everywhere, in BL2... which is another thing that would have been nice.. if the keys were rewarded after completing missions(atleast for a normal chest).
