This is great and everything but... I want to see VersaEmerge in the setlist. That would make my day and make me buy RB 3.
Ten new tracks revealed for the upcoming music game; additional artists include HIM, Slipknot, War, Mana, Roxette, Poni Hoax, and Rammstein.
In the past few months, Harmonix and its latest plastic instrument game Rock Band 3 have frequented the news loop. The company detailed the game's new peripherals, which include a keyboard, in June. Dan Teasdale, the game's lead designer, left the developer for Twisted Pixel in July. And today, Harmonix confirmed 10 new tracks for its upcoming living room rock star game.
In addition to the tracks developer Harmonix has previously made known, today's update, via Eurogamer, includes songs ranging from legendary reggae group Bob Marley and the Wailers to German headbangers Rammstein. The 10 new artists and tracks are:
Bob Marley & The Wailers - "Get Up, Stand Up"
INXS - "Need You Tonight"
Poni Hoax - "Antibodies"
Rammstein - "Du Hast"
Roxette - "The Look"
Tokio Hotel - "Humanoid"
HIM - "Killing Loneliness"
Mana - "Oye Mi Amor"
Slipknot - "Before I Forget"
War - "Low Rider"
Rock Band 3 is due out October 26 in North America and October 29 in Europe. It will hit the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, Wii, and DS and is the first title in the series to include keyboard support. For more on Rock Band, check out GameSpot's preview.
Bout time, it finally has a diverse set lists adding a few Spanish rock songs ain't a bad idea, hmmm i mean who doesn't like juanes and mana?
RAMMSTEIN!!! My wish has come true!!!!! I've been hoping for this since the announcement of RB3! Rammstein DLC here we come!!!! R+ \m/
@Franzkill Not everything is Garbage, theres Justin Bieber! *gets pelted by water bottles* ACK! I WAS JUST KIDDING!!!!!!!
Low Rider and INXS. Not to mention Rammstein. The rest of the list (minus Marley) may not fire me up, but I'll have to wait to play it.
Excuse me... Why do they always take songs from other GH games and Rb games. I like Du hast and Before I forget but I want to play new songs. :(
Great. I liked 50% of the list previously released, and 0% of this list. At least my wife will be Happy about Du Hast.
Mana' Rocks!!!! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=clbG4r1di2U
Not a particular fan of Tokio Hotel or HIM but oh well. I'm sure i will be catered for the run of Rock Band 3 DLC.
I'm glad that the rock band developers are trying new things with this diverse set-list. I can't wait to see the whole thing though. (Giving the whole thing at once makes it a little random) Im glad that they are giving us the set-list in small pieces instead of just shoving all 80 at us. In this way people are always thinking about the game's set-list. Pretty Smart Harmonix...Pretty smart.
Maybe its because (and i dread to see the hate i get for saying this) Muse arent that good? I'm not a big fan of them, but overall I'll say that the reason they dont have Muse on every game, or any band really, is the fact it gets repetitive, as you can move all your songs replay them and the fact is alot of msue songs sound the same. Alot of most bands songs sound the same really. Now dont rant, but that's how i feel and i feel thats a good thing.
@KahnArtizt: Couldn't agree more. Every single Guitar Hero has a Muse song, and Rock Band only has one. I like Rock Band a lot more, and it could only be better with that.
Nice! That gives us a total of 40 songs so far. Anyone have an idea what the hardest overall song will be so far?
Nice to see some fellow chums citing Bob Marley as one of their favourite artists. Shame that about 99% of the world listens to complete garbage nowadays though.. :(
The logic of including Tokio Hotel confounds me. They've been almost universally hated for years in Germany, well before their marketing manager started marketing them to all the teenies outside of here. Are they really that popular in the US?
I don't know how to feel about what they've released so far. It's great to see Marley, War, and the previously announced Filter and Foreigner...but they're grouped with Tokio Hotel and Marilyn Manson. My faith in Harmonix' abilities isn't shaken necessarily, and I'd imagine their robust catalog of DLC makes it more difficult to find tracks to package, but I hope the next track reveal is a bit more impressive because as a whole, I'm not blown away.
They really need to put more Muse in RB3. They have ridiculous amounts of keyboard parts and they're latest album kicked so much ass! Resistance or Uprising would be a perfect choice.
I swear this game better have some Dream Theater. With the new keyboard they're the perfect edition to the game!
I love Rock Band. You know why I love Rock Band? Because they know what songs are popular from artists. Plus, they choose good artists. This is going to top Guitar Hero. Rock Band 3 > Guitar Hero: Warriors of Rock
Lowrider... I lol'd, and then I realized it was serious and passed out due to an overdose of awesome.
YESSSSSSS!!! Bob Marley and Rock Band 2 things I love a LOT. Get up Stand up...Stand up for your rights.I wish they picked: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n6U-TGahwvs. But I shouldn't be ungrateful. I'm REALLY EXCITED!
I like Bob Marley, Rammstein, and War from that list. I still hope Harmonix adds a Deep Purple song preferably April, Black Night, or Pictures of Home. Because I think all 3 songs feature great parts for most of the instruments. April is more Guitar and Organ focused. But Pictures of Home showcases all the instruments perfectly in the Organ part is great, the Guitar and Bass part is great, the drums are great and the lyrics are good.
Bob Marley, Slipknot and War!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Holy damn I'm glad I preordered already But eh...why Tokio Hotel? I think it's pretty universal that they're terrible
