Source: A recently distributed list touting Capcom's E3 slate.
What we heard: Irrespective of the current ballyhoo surrounding the Entertainment Software Association and its annual E3 Media & Business Summit trade show, the event still promises an extensive look at the industry's future endeavors. And even though many of the major players in the publishing game have opted to make their big reveals during their own Gamers' Day events, at least a few reveals appear to be slotted in for this year's E3.

One publisher that may be looking to make a splash at this year's show is Capcom. The Japanese publisher confirmed its E3 lineup, which will include such previously announced games as: GRIN's Bionic Commando, Bionic Commando Rearmed, Airtight Games' Dark Void, Infinite Interactive's Neopets Puzzle Adventure, Certain Affinity's Plunder, and Bionic Games' Spyborgs. Also on display at the show will be a number of internally developed titles, including MotoGP 08, Resident Evil 5, Street Fighter IV, and Super Street Fighter II Turbo HD Remix.
While good news for Capcom fans, the listing also contained a double-shot of intrigue, listing two mystery titles: Capcom Project #1 and Capcom Project #2. What could these titles be? One of the most likely candidates is a follow-up to the critically acclaimed zombie apocalypse Dead Rising. Not long after the brains-hungry game shambled forth on the Xbox 360 in 2006, the publisher was reveling in the success of its original property, with Capcom VP Mark Beaumont saying, "Bringing out Dead Rising has allowed us to establish a new franchise that we can use for years to come."
Capcom's E3 slate contains a number of other notable absences. Capcom has yet to announce a follow-up to Apollo Justice, released for the DS in February, so a new Ace Attorney game seems plausible. Though the publisher showed Mega Man Star Force 2 for the DS at its recent Captivate '08 event, the publisher has yet to venture forth with a "next-gen" title for its iconic cyborg. It's also worth noting that the publisher's PlayStation Portable support is lacking (there's not a single PSP title in the announced E3 lineup), so a Monster Hunter Portable could be in the cards.
The official story: "Oh, those games are...."--A tease-happy Capcom representative.
Bogus or not bogus?: Guess we'll have to wait until July.
