Blizzard interested in Wii as well?
Job listing on publisher's site lists production experience with next-gen console as a plus.
It's no secret that Blizzard is trying to crack the console gaming market. While Starcraft: Ghost is currently in development limbo, it signaled the company's first big push into the living room, with versions originally planned for the Xbox, PlayStation 2, and GameCube. At this year's Electronic Entertainment Expo, Blizzard COO Paul Sams confirmed for GameSpot that the company was looking into development on the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.
Now it seems the Wii might be on Blizzard's radar as well. A job posting for a senior producer on the company's Web site lists "Xbox 360, PS3, or Wii production experience" as a plus.
This isn't the first indication that Blizzard has been keeping an eye on the Wii. Last November, when it was confirmed that the GameCube version of Ghost was canned, a moderator on the Blizzard forums said that "The GameCube and Revolution [the original moniker of the Wii] will still be considered for future products."
Blizzard representatives were not available for comment as of press time.
