BioWare's Star Wars RPG Xbox-bound
Knights of the Old Republic is now in development for both the PC and Xbox.
LucasArts has announced that BioWare's upcoming RPG Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic is now coming to the Xbox as well as the PC. The game will take place 4,000 years before the first Star Wars film, when the Jedi and Sith populations were still quite large. Players will be able to form parties of up to three characters, each of whom can come from several different races, including wookiees, droids, humans, and twi'leks. Knights of the Old Republic spans 10 different worlds, including some familiar locations such as Tatooine, the Jedi Academy on Dantooine, the wookiee homeworld of Kashyyyk, and even the Sith world of Korriban.
"The Xbox and PC are both fantastic game machines," said Greg Zeschuk, CEO of BioWare and co-executive producer of Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic. "The development team is committed to pushing the boundaries of both platforms to make Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic the best role-playing game possible."
Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic is scheduled for release on the Xbox this fall.
