BioWare San Francisco closed - Report
Source says Dragon Age: Legends developer shuttered, with as many as 30 staffers laid off.
BioWare San Francisco has been closed and all 25 to 30 employees laid off, a source within the studio told GamesRadar. Formerly known as EA2D, the studio was perhaps best known for the Facebook game Dragon Age: Legends and the browser-based Mirror's Edge 2D.
BioWare shut off the servers for Dragon Age: Legends last year, though an offline-only version is currently available.
EA2D became BioWare San Francisco in August 2011 as part of a company-wide reorganization. The unnamed source claimed owner Electronic Arts believed it was "too expensive" to develop mobile games in Redwood Shores, California, the company's headquarters.
A landing page for BioWare San Francisco remains visible on the BioWare website, though no job listings are posted. EA was not immediately available to comment.
