God, you people are frigging retarded. Who cares what system you own and who cares which is better??? Do you ever even stop to think for half a second that what you're willing to argue about is completely and totally ****ing pointless?? All that matters is that you have a system you're happy with with. Personally I love my 360, owned a Wii but sold it because there was'nt much coming out in 2007 after Mario Kart. Now the Wii has a much stronger lineup and I would'nt mind getting another one because I miss SSBB and MP3 and TP. Every system is worth buying, they all have good games. Stop being so damned loyal, do you think Sony or Microsoft or even Nintendo really gives a crap about you. NOOOO!!! They just care about making money. I think what we can get from this article are the massive steps toward evening out the battle between Sony and Microsoft. The Microsoft rep said that they continue to expect former Sony exclusives to sell better on XBox. The problem is that a year ago, the XBox would have been selling close to double the number of games over Playstation. Not only that, but Sony has every right to tout Killzone 2's sales. Two days before reporting and it's number 5 for the month? That just shows the leaps and bounds that PS3 has made in the last year. So, you XBox fanboys keep touting your machine as great. I'll continue to play the majority of the same games as you, with essentially the same graphics. Then I'll switch my system over and watch some nice hi definition Blu-Ray movies.

Believe what you want to mat, i am going to enjoy seeing i will have much better graphics, and more stuff in my version then you have with your Xbox, if you're not suffering from a RRoD xD Ohw and look out that it doesn't kill your game lol. Also in overall, the Xbox may have more games (microsoft pays ridiculously much for exclusives, the bad losers) But the exclusives on the PS3 are much better imo

Had you saw the comparison made by gamespot?? I'm not really convince that the ps3 is really that better.... And as it go for now, it isn't worth the extra bucks you have to pay. If you talk about the ps3 xbox360 "competition" talk about the red ring or the optical reading problem of the 360, but not the graphic that are not better on the ps3

frazzle00 you really think that a game that has been in development for 4-5 as a ps3 exclusive which everyone agrees has better graphics when made right will have worse graphics than the 360 version which is being made in two years at the very most. Also name a good square enix game on the 360. Yes, I am aware that square has not made any for the ps3 as of yet but that is because they are taking their time to make the games so they will be good and not rushed.

@Demonkillua Not according to most gaming sites. In terms of multi-platform titles, the Xbox 360 versions usually outperform their PS3 counterparts. Considering that Ken Kutaragi has claimed that the PS3 is significantly more capable than the 360, if I were a Sony fanboy like mat1775 I would be embarrassed and annoyed. @mat1775 Dude go back to school. Learn to communicate properly. Spend less time playing games and educate yourself. At the moment the only thing you are succeeding in doing is embarrassing yourself.

System wars.... to, or to not participate. Xbox 360 has more games. they're are easier to make for the 360 compared to the PS3. If you want to compare at grapics, PS3 wins there buy just a tiny bit. On the other hand the PS3 takes a little longer to load the games. With the PS3 games, they are able to hold more memory and so can have longer games with less disk. (Games like MGS4 would be two disk on the 360). Overall I see the fight over what system is better pointless, because both have there ups and downs. Correction SalarianChemist, Final Fantasy Versus XIII is not going to be released on the 360, only Final Fantasy XIII is.

mat1775 sorry to burst your bubble but nether the ps3 or 360, is capable of full 1080p with all the effects you expect to see now. The only game out that runs in true 1080p is Virtua Tennis 3 and thats because there is no fancy lighting effects. Just because it says 1080p on the box it does not its true. Call of Duty 4 & WAW run at 680p even though it says 1080p the image is just upscaled.

And the only reason that Xbox has more sales than the playstation 3, It's because they didn't want to perfection the xbox like sony did with the playstation and resulted as xbox coming out a year before playstation 3!!! plus ps network is free

I still can't believe that they are gonna make Final Fantasy XIII for the Xbox 360, They are gonna lose some major graphic capability because stupid Xbox can't support 1080p resolution. People can say anything but Playstation 3 has some true graphics capability when the people that makes game wanna put in the effort to do it.

PS3 or XBOX 360, Which is better hmmmm?? I already have Xbox 360,Wii,PSP, and DS, and NOW I?m planning to buy me a PS3 this week because of it's FREE online gaming and because it's joypad is very suitable for fighting games like SF IV (I already bought the game since it's release with other PS3 games before I even got the system!! ;p). In my opinion all systems are good, each one has its unique features and gameplay :) ,and for which system should I buy FF XIII for is going to be un-predictable :p

I'm curious? I have all 3 major gaming systems (Wii, 360, PS3) How many blogging has the same? Thumbs Up if you do! I value the opinion of those gamers.

i don't know what to make of this. You can be confident about sales, but at the end of the day, it all depends on the feel of the game based on demos or name brand. I won't go and say that i think there is any specific console that will have the better version of this game because in my honest opinion, i don't care for this series, never have in fact, so it's not like this game would make my console purchase decision for me. And as with all that SF non-sense, this is another game that is based on opinion, one that i personally had no real interest in, it happens, and the economy right now seems to dictate that if you have no interest or very little of it you are less likely to burn some money for nothing. I am unsure how RE5 looks like on the PS3, but i love the way and feel of the title on the 360, it's really smooth and really clear to me.

I will never buy a Final Fantasy game on that garbage console(s).

jeremiah06, same here, i started out with a psone and then i bought a n64 and prefered that. i got a ps2 and i loved it, it had awsome games. but then after buying a game cube and a xbox i played them much more. metroid and halo were awsome games. anything the ps2 has couldnt compaire to them. i then got a ps3 this gen ans what a dissapointment. rubbish games and lame onlin ehwne i had it. i sold it and got a 360 with halo 3. the best gaming decision ive ever made, and im only on my 2nd console.

@ angelcage A typical fanboy interpretation of reality. Lets be very clear here, the fact that the 360 has more sales only plays a minor part in the fact that its versions tend to sell better - thats because only a small proportion of the system owners buy any one game.... i cant remember the GTA VI figures but im sure its something like 10% of the number of consoles sold...... that being the case, you cant say that the MS lead is the major factor in software sales. There are much better reasons out there.... the fact that many games still perform better on the 360 than the PS3.... i know the fanboys will jump on that but its true.... im well aware that its a closing gap so to speak but its still a reality and, in the end, it will take Sony a while to shake that stigma (even as someone who hates Sony i can see that the PS3 has HUGE potential that will just take time to tap.... once designers get used to exploiting the cell processor im sure the PS3 will be able to perform head and shoulders above the 360.... though we may be into the next gen of consoles by then..) Then of course there's Live...... i know Sony think that free users who dont ever go online can be compared with a fully active community but the reality is that most of the big games out there need an online community to make them come to life and that has, undoubtedly, been a major factor. Its not that the market lead doesn't play any part in this equation but its something thats vastly over referenced!

@Yuck_Too Nope my first of all I'm not a kid, second I know nobody like to hear the truth when its not all dressed up and pretty. My first FF game was 7. I got it for my birthday(I didnt ask for it.) and I loved it. Then after buying 8 9 10 and 12 at launch I got myself a PC and downloaded the emulated versions of the first 6. I didn:t buy DMC4 yet I had the first 3. My real gaming carrier started with Sony. People like me are the primary target to any company (Those who support them) who in games have been maliciously branded fanboys. I like playstation I like games on playstation and so far I havent felt the need to go with anyother company. If one day I feel that sony no longer satisfies me then and onl then will I move one but for now I'm happy. I got a single brand of tooth brush, soap, PC, grills, tv, camra, cell phone, and video game systems. Yet I'm only bashed about the one of those. About 80% of everyone I see are the same they buy the brand they can count on not just the cheapest at that time.

MS representative: X360 have a bigger user base (cause we have a whole year head star, wich makes kinda logic that he have selled more systems) so guess what: We sell more games that Ps3!!!! DUH! you idiot. Of course you sell more units of multi games, you have a lot more users than ps3 have. Tha't just why MS should feel a little shame for SFIV... with that bigger user base they sell almost the same ammount. And since when SF is historically related to PS?

SalarianChemist dont make terrible excuses for the street fighter sales compeition with halo wars, what about competition with killzone 2. and what dissapointing games for the ps3 r u talking about mgs4, lbp,resistance 2 o r killzone 2 which all got 9 r over on gamespot. and i doubt ff13 versus will do better on the xbox360 as its not cmeing out for it, seriously even the crazy guy who lives near me who thought i fought with him in WW2 talks more sense than you

To be fair, Final Fantasy XIII looks lacklustre, it seems to have lost what FFVII (which it's blatantly trying to replicate here) had in spades - good art design & style. It seems they think that pixel perfection is going to win the day - but they've lost the grittiness and realism that made Midgar (a.k.a Pulse) such a brilliant setting, I want this back not this sickening anime-fest!

Shouldn't Xbox expect to sell WAY more of these games than SONY? That shouldn't be some big magical prediction!? The install base is higher (that's what the fanboys always yell). And on top of that some of the games like Fallout and GTA they paid for exclusive DLC. So news here is not that Xbox expects to sell more, of course they do. The news is that they are selling so poorly compared to the smaller install base; that SONY is selling almost as well. But if SONY is selling as many games that's good for them because they don't have to worry about publishers wanting to go Xbox exclusive any time soon.

After the new gameplay of Infamous, I'm starting to think that all Sony has left is God of War III. The new Infamous game play looked even more generic that Crack Down, don't think i'll be buying it now. I am really curious about seeing gameplay of MAG.

@SalarianChemist FFVXIII is not being made for the 360 at all. It is still a PS3 exclusive. The only FF game the 360 is getting is FFXIII, not verses. The Last Remant, and Star Ocean 4 are also being ported to the PS3, but its going to take time to add more extras, decompress the sound, and change a few things to give a different experience on the PS3. Kind of like Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 on PS3, they are adding more content for the game that is not available on the 360. As far as quality games go, well the 360 doesn't have that many quality games either. Most of the 360's quality games are FPS types where the PS3 has lots of everything except FPS games.

i feel that both ps3 and xbox 360 are evenly matched. if you want an excellent library of games pick up xbox 360. if you want 70% of that library and some games with undoubtedly superior graphics (read that mgs 4, killzone 2, uncharted), pick up ps3. that extra $100 can be considered as for better next gen experience. comparing both is like comparing geforce 8500 and 8600. we all know that for extra price we pay, we get marginal more power.i don't know if ps3 is actually powerful than xbox 360. if not, then ms please show us power of xbox 360 by making at least one game of caliber of killzone2. then i will consider buying one.

Just like with DMC 4. Microsoft just isn't stupid, they know this will more than likely happen. Me, I will only stand by my boycot if the game is: shorter than 60 hours of main story, lacks side quest, and dosent score at least a 9 like all the previous main series entries score. If these condetions arn't met then its verses all the way for me. I may sound like a fanboy, but lets be honest, anyone who waited 1 year, paid $650, and got only a PS3 this generation has to be a fanboy. Nothing else explains the wait or the extreamly high price tag, compared to the 360 and wii price but fanboyism. Really its no big deal who cares if your a fanboy just know that we the fanboys are who games are made for.

Playstation 3 doesn't have nearly as many quality games as the Xbox 360 at this point in time. Street Fighter 4 was a new game that drew a lot of attention on Playstation 3 simply because it stood out from the crowd of disappointing games on the Playstation 3. The reviews proved that the Xbox 360 version of Street Fighter 4 was slightly better--especially with load times. But the competition is a lot tougher on the Xbox 360, because there are so many other great games. Remember, Xbox 360 saw games like Halo Wars released during that same time period, and there is only so much money to go around right now. There is no doubt that Final Fantasy 13, Resident Evil 5, FF13 Verus, The Last Remant and others will sell a lot better on Xbox 360. This is the reason why Square Enix releases so many next-gen console exclusives for the Xbox 360 such as Star Ocean 4, Infinite Undiscovery, and Final Fantasy 11 expansion packs. I don't think Sony should feel too bad about the poor sales of the Playstation 3 so far this year. After all, everyone knows PS3 is going to have a $100 price drop very soon, so buying a PS3 now would be a big gamble of wasting and losing $100. It makes more sense to wait until the price drop to even consider buying the PS3.

I wouldn't be so comfortable about RE5 or FFXIII. 360 is more sold than PS3, so SF4 pulling only slightly higher numbers could be translated to 360 attach rate being a smaller percentage, but of such a bigger audience it just happens to come out on top. If it is just a matter of population, the difference could be erased if Sony could bite the bullet and price cut or something to boost sales. Of course there's no fear of that because Sony's convinced they're doing just fine where they are despite the economy and don't have to do a thing. Perhaps Microsoft can be comfortable in their statements. It must be nice when your opponent is willfully making a blunder.
