I wish there where other options...??? Wonder if you will be able to trade from ds. to ds. like with the current Games...???
Nintendo's creature hunter RPG continues dominance, as seven new games crack Media Create's weekly chart; Dead Rising 2 debut = 123,000 units.
Media Create's Japanese sales chart for the week of September 27-October 3 was overrun with new releases as the holiday season ramps up. However, despite the seven new top 10 entrants, Pokemon's dominance remained unchallenged. During the cuspy week, Pokemon Black and White led all other software in Japan, selling 374,859 units during its third week on the market.
The week's top debut went to Sega's PSP rhythm game K-On! After School Live!!, which sold 170,848 units. Clocking in at nearly 100,000 units less was Capcom's Okamiden, the DS sequel to Clover Studios' acclaimed action adventure Okami. Nihon Falcom's Eiyuu Densetsu: Zero no Kiseki finished the week in fourth, selling 84,360 units.
The week's highest profile release, Capcom's Dead Rising 2, managed to sneak into the top five, as the PlayStation 3 edition edged out its Xbox 360 counterpart, selling 79,695 units to 43,800. Asgard's Starry Sky: In Summer and Namco Bandai's Dragon Ball Z: Tenkaichi Tag Team rounded out the week's chart-topping new releases, filing in at a respective ninth and tenth.
Hardware showed no noticeable impact from the week's releases, as the PSP assumed its regular position atop the chart with 37,088 units sold. Nintendo's DSi line of handhelds followed, combining to sell nearly 50,000 units, while the PS3 shifted 20,363 systems. Wii sales continued to languish in Japan, as the system sold 13,360 units on the week, a figure that easily outpaced the Xbox 360's 2,769 units.

what the psp needs is a better software engine and games while the ds needs to stop making lame new system releases like ipod also make more games for the veteran gamers that arent for little kids
Pokemon got old with the release of diamond and pearl....so im just gonna buy Birth By Sleep instead.
PSP outselling DS is kind of interesting... But I guess there are very few people in Japan who don't have a DS by now lol.
LOL @ PSP Go. I thought it was a hit in Japan. Sony doesn't understand that we DON'T need slimmer PSPs, we need PSPs with 2 analog sticks and L2 and R2 buttons.
@gamer26690 The Pokemon Company co-publishes the Pokemon games along with Nintendo. It's an affiliate of Nintendo created to help market and promote all things Pokemon, including games.
@Trogeton I know, ill admit I have a problem with that, I'm trying to stop myself and ignore them, its just certain comments pipe my curiosity, however your right and I should just let it go but I'm afraid to say I didnt report you and whats-his-face,I just replied
dipsetboy17 im with you all the way wich is why i own a 360 from japan the idol m@sters games the and the funny and awkward games we may never see here in the states im very sick of the fps stuff ............ok let the hate start just dont kill me to much.
@hotdiddykong but they are ONLY comments after all, but it seems they only bother you, don't you think thats like tattle tailing? reporting comments you don't like? I mean no one is forcing you to go look at every comment down the news boards.. you are just making that your problem when it does not have to be, just enjoy the news and not let words bother you, I mean your not gonna tell a teacher EVERY time someone says something you dislike at school are you? I would just let it go it's not gonna kill ya
@Trogeton I have a 360 otherwise i wouldnt mention liking call of duty,I let people state their opinions freely, however trolling comments arnt to be tolerated
@hotdiddykong I can understand where you are coming from.. I agree pokemon are still one of the best selling ds/gb games, but are you actually going and replying to everyone who posts a comment you don't like?? everyone has their right to their own opinions but don't let comments get to you.. but do you own any console other than nintendos?
Am I the only one who noticed for publisher gamespot has put "the pokemon company" don't they mean nintendo?
Why are Japanese people wasting their money on the DSi and DSi LL when the 3DS is going to be out in their country in a few months? I'm pretty sure everyone in Japan knows about the 3DS, I mean come on what Japanese citizen doesn't have some kind of Nintendo product...
Though I should be preparing for college, focusing on school work, and worrying about my job... I still want to get my hands on the new Pokemon
japan has very good and unique taste in games. I'm an American and not ashamed of it. we have many diverse games as well. it's just that it seems like 90% have to do with shooting stuff. i rather play k-on, Pokemon, yakuza, and okamiden then cod, halo, brink, and crysis, like i said before there's always gonna be haters no matter what game or genre it is.
Kinda surprised that K-on! sold so much, well in a way its No surprise with the amount of fans and creepy otaku buying it for the moe element :? which I won't do as its so damn expensive
I love Pokemon - it won't get "old" anytime soon. This is only the 6th generation. It's new pokemon which is always nice. Pokemon fans who complain about any new Pokemon since Gold and Silver are NOT real fans - it was just the "in" thing back in highschool to like Pokemon. Rant over. I'm buying Black and White, Black Ops and Medal of Honor.
Wow, looks like it's a good time to be Nintendo in Japan, Pokemon Black and White continue to rake in the cash. Glad to see Okamiden did fairly well, too, I'm looking forward to that game coming out in the U.S. next year. Should be a good start to the year between Pokemon Black and White, Okamiden, and the 3DS release.
There are a bit too many pokemon now lol. I don't remember any except the first ones. I can actually recall all of their names. Ahhh the good old days of pokemon card trading at school. =D
@ tman410 They are both great games BUT there's nothing manly about either of them in the slightest The fact is if you ignore the fact it's called pokemon and the trading cards and the cartoon at it's core it's a fantastic RPG travel the world collecting monsters that you train to compete in a tournament and when needed fight evil. It's simple yet a brilliant formula which is why its so popular
I would post more comments that are "The Truth" but i keep getting reported so i'm done here. The badguy has left the room......
I've played pokémon games since i was a little kid and they are the only Ip which i haven't grown bored of :D
Good old Japan. I hope they won't resemble Western markets (which includes developers and publishers) in the time to come.
japan has different taste in gaming. can't the haters just respect that? you play your shooters and let them play k-on and Pokemon simple as that. i like American and Japanese games, even though i love Japanese games more. haters always gonna hate.
@tman410 no,i like call of duty aswell its just: How are you gonna counter pokemon with something that isnt new either? and please, guns dont make you manly I understand the potential that makes Call of duty great, you however cant see the potential in pokemon whatever, let us both have our seperate ways
@hotdiddykong Ok.. well i'll jut play my very manly modern warfare 2, and you can play your pokemon game with your family if you're going to be that way about it.
Pokemon never gets old i already played White, is a massive improvement at least history-wise and i liked every new Pokemon design and there's a LOT i want to try but i just can't get to enjoy them all in 1 playtrough well....the only design i hate... is the ice cream pokemon
@kleeyook amen damn pets in a ball. I don't know who play the game, the game sale have to be fixed numbers
I think we have enough with Pokemon. There's 3 main Pokemon games this gen already! 2 brand new and 1 remake! :(
