@Oldboy08 heheheee how did u find out that one??? cause im from asia and living in asia and i know how people think about USA here and its just annoying cause americans just looks too friendly to them{ppl} but they are not and always tried to say we are so better than u!!! and its clear that far east country like japan always tried so hard to give the upper hand to their very own companys!!! and nintendo knows the value of it and always tried to give them something greatfulnd unique in the back but sony just dont look that ways from 2006. i am 100% sure that as an asian i love more of a 3ds and it games that a ps vita with uncharted!!! and i saw and met enough far eastern asia ppl to know how their think,i lived among them for years and right now!

Looks like all the DS Lite got sold out.RIP DS Lite,I had my great memories with it. Next up is either PS2 or 360. And th VITA is doing much worse than what the 3DS did back then,because the 3DS always ended up in first beating the PSP by a little.While the PSV can't even have a place in top 3.Back to the drawing board Sony.

RIP DS Lite, you had a good run in 2006 - 2011 (in Japan) and thanks for the GBA support. You rock!

@solidty Apple is almost stupidly popular here in Japan. I ended up caving and getting an iphone4 here. I wish i waited for a good android to be released here...that being said. When it comes to games Japan really is Japan first, second, third, fourth, etc. That's just the way it is. They grew up playing their games and seeing as western games havent been popular for that long its not a surprise they still love Japanese games and Japanese games only here.

APPLE what? the hippster IPOD? Everybody knows the IPOD saved APPLE. If the IPOD never came to be APPLE wouldn't be.

XBOX 360 is USA? JAPAN buys JAPAN. Buy where you live? Unless you want your country to go bankrupt, Euro.

As big a Nintendo fanboy as I may be, I am really happy to still see the PS2 selling after all this time, proves that given support, a console can last ages. But still YAY 3DS! :3 Glad to see it doing well, a great console with a bright future.

king ps2 still selling! that's because it was KING but i really wonder to see if ps3 sell one unite when ps4 is out ... heheheee!!! 3ds looks good as i expected and ps vita looks like a damn "lost game" in that list!!! im really accepting gamespot advice to sony: "make it 199$ and release games like skyrim and dark souls for it then we're all in" @Oldboy08 MS never gonna sell enough in japan and eastern asia becuase of their blind pride and patriotism! but MS looks damn too good anywhere els! :)

PS2 is entering its 12th year. does it sell in other parts of the world?

@JaxxRaxor i don't know about that. Japan loves Vita but not many good games they like. Western like consoles much more then handheld but have many games they might like with that Vita. Anyway in the end i think Vita sales in the western will be about the same as Japan. But i really hope i'm wrong really if for a changes Vita would sell more in the western then in Japan maybe Vita will get more support then the PSP did...

@megakick You can't compare the handheld market to the home console market. Ever since the Gameboy Nintendo has dominated the handheld space. I do think a major reason for why the PS Vita is flailing against the 3DS is the fact that it doesn't have many games that appeal to the Japanese market while the 3DS does. The Vita should do better in the West because you have Uncharted and other franchises that appeal to westerners. In terms of the home console market, the Playstation 3 has been doing better than the Wii in the last two years or so. I hope Sony learned from there mistakes with the PS3 launch back in 2006, and the PS4 will at worst be only slightly behind the next Xbox and Wii U, not massively getting crushed.

@megakick based on the 360 sales, I'd say Micro$oft would be wasting their time even bothering to sell the Next X in Japan.

The 3DS sold five times as many units as the PSPVITA. PSPVITA is getting STOMPED. This doesn't look good for the PS4.

3DS sales actually went up from last week by about 50K units. I can't believe how FF13-2 is struggling in Japan. It hasn't been a complete disaster but still low sales relative to the previous iterations. It received a perfect score from Famitsu which is extremely rare.

Man those two top games are too good. Picked them both up. Play them on the trains to school. Ridonkulous yo. Look at those 3DS numbers. I am a SONY guy but I gotta say the 3DS was a brilliant idea Nintendo. That price drop? Brilliant. Too bad you didnt tell me about it when I picked up my 3DS in March......and then didnt realize I hadnt gone to the e-shop and didnt get my free games either...:( poor PSV. I want you. But you arent selling yourself to me like the 3DS did. Not that popular here in Japan I guess. the games are no where to be found on this list.
