Actually, I went back and watch it again. It is the same http://kotaku.com/5246177/is-this-new-beyond-good--evil-2-footage thing that bothers me is that the guns are different and I saw a cow. in BG&E1 cows were sentient. The bartender of the Acuda Bar was a bull.
Video purportedly shot during French gaming conference appears to offer new look at Ubisoft's long-underground action adventure.
Beyond Good & Evil 2 is making its way to market at a glacial pace, having been announced in 2008 and little else said about it since then. Still, the studio has assured gamers that development is ongoing, and it appears as if some tangible evidence of that claim leaked out today.
Spotted by Beyond Good & Evil Myth, a shaky-cam YouTube video (below) appeared online over the weekend purporting to show concept art for Beyond Good & Evil 2. The video's author claims to have captured the footage at last week's Montpellier In Game conference, with Ubisoft's Michel Ancel and Jordan Mechner appearing on stage.
Concept art in the video appears to be heavily influenced by Indian themes, such as elaborate shrines to the elephantine god Ganesha and heavily laden tuk-tuks. It also depicts prosaic street-side shots.
According to Beyond Good & Evil Myth, Ancel and Mechner's invite-only presentation was themed around narrative design and the inspiration for their work. The Ubisoft designers reportedly said that the team working on the game flew to India to experience the heavily populated cities for themselves. They also reportedly said that the gameworld seeks to intertwine modern and traditional ways of life.
Ubisoft has not announced a release window for Beyond Good & Evil 2. For more information, check out GameSpot's previous coverage.
So after looking at this, that leaked BG&E2 footage we saw a few years ago may have actually be legit. Those environments look very similar
Just keep working on it, i remember playin Beyond G&E on my gamecube so many years ago, and was completely frozen by the unique atmosphere that game had!
I don't understand these developers who end up making games for like 6 years straight. Team Ico with The Last Guardian, Square Enix with FF Versus XIII, and Ubisoft with this. All I know is these games had better be game changers otherwise what was the point?
I would be excited about this ... that is if concept art for a game ever actually resembled the in game art.
Maybe I'll be interested. I got the first one for free with Rayman Origins so I'll see if I like it.
@Mozillla No, it was not completely scrapped they just expanded the concepts and released it as Assassin's Creed: Revelations.
Glad they are still working on it and it hasn't been canceled. I still need to be finish the first game.
if they start now then maybe this could be a launch title for PS4. I liked the original so if they ever complete the sequel. I'll buy it.
Any news on this game is a welcome one because the one trailer that was shown of it gave me hope for the rest of the game. The original was criminally under looked and that's a shame cause it was a great and fun title.
Well it wont see daylight until new xbox and ps4 out because i look on site and creator need a big sandbox and free room . But anways i still wait for it. But lets hope be on ps3 and xbox before gen out.
this is like the only good news among all hacker and sue news i got and played the original ps2 and the downloadable on ps3 several times - i cant wait for the sequel and i waited long - i can wait some more if only it will arrive one day
Way too long for a sequel too be done, guess the graphics won't be so good, but I've played the first one like 3 or 4 times( to find all creatures and collect all pearls, without walkthroughs and everything) and 1 time on PS3 hd version , I guess the only thing that ubisoft group should think good about a sequel is story, in BGE story was really cool , with outstanding gameplay, stealthy action, making fauna and like photos and of course some mini games like air hockey, hovercraft racing, space battle and ... oh man, that game was marvelous , just do smth like that with a second one and you will get your money for a third instalment, please Ubisoft , JUST DO IT)
The title should mention there's actual GAMEPLAY, which looks great. Looks like a mix between Mirror's Edge and Assassin's Creed.
OMG...This made my day and thanks for indianizing the game...I am from india and I truly love this game...
ryzrocks Posted Nov 23, 2011 4:23 am GMT Ubisoft never canceled projects and it's the reason why they are so awesome....guys take as long as u want on making this game and we gamers want the best experience just like in Beyond Good and Evil .....Never disappoint' Assassin's Creed: Lost Legacy got cancel on 3DS they do cancel projects
I think BGaE is one of my all-time favorite games, at least in the top 5. It was a breath of fresh air and the art style was very pleasing to the eye. I really hope they put this out soon because I don't know how many more "me-too" games I can tolerate before I just walk away from gaming all together. Been gaming for about 25 years and at no other point have I felt such despair for the industry as I do now. It's like game developers have just run out of good ideas and spit out the same games over and over with a different title. Alot of these so-called triple-A titles that come out aren't even AAA quality games. They're just the best of the rehashed garbage that's out there. Hopefully this game will put good gaming back on the map, and hopefully it'll have some marketing support this time around to go with it.

Either they are working on this game and remaining incredibly tight lipped about it, or its vaporware.
