Even if someone does get a copy, they better home it hasn't been dma coded yet. They'll need to crack that code to play the game since it will look for the valid code online before the game plays.

Amount of pre-orders has no bearing on how good the game actually is.

@ZoTrAcK Have u ever played battlefield? I have ALL the dlc (4-6 map packs, skins, onslaught mode) and i havnt even payed $15! Hmm..what cost 15? Oh yeah! ONE map pack for cod! smfh

There is really no opinion about the matter. All BS aside, Battlefield has clearly stepped up as the superior game to Call of Duty. Call of Duty USED to be fun and good, but after World at War it has become too easy and skillless and the series is just boring as hell. People that think Call of Duty, especially the Modern Warfare games, are still even passable are just delusional. The game is simple and bad on more than a technical level, and only simple minded and delusional people still think Call of Duty is good.

TBH, the real winner is the gamer at the end of the day, with so many awesome games coming out this year.

Well, the list changed, now. MW3 for 360 is at the top, MW3 for PS3 second, third is Gears 3, and then fourth is BF3 for 360. Oh well, they all look like great games and can't wait to play them all (except for MW3 for PS3, I'm getting it for 360)! :D :D :)

If Battlefield 3 preorders are 24x more than BF2 it is mainly due to the multiplatform release. This means that there are roughly 24x more console gamers than on PC

@neosantana At the very least you would have to look at it more objectively. Modern Warfare or the Call of Duty games in general are more popular by a long way in total sales than Battlefield. So obviously there are going to be problems controlling a community that size. From the looks of things Battlefield 3 is going to be doing much much better in total sales so you are going to notice a lot more of those people in that game now too. You also act like these are the only games out there, nearly all my times playing multiplayer in any game has been upset by people in general at some point(not just 12 year old stroppy kids). I just avoid those people and move on.

Aye all these games look awesome and we won't really know which is better till they all come out.

Pre order BF3 if you want, but don't forget to keep some money for the 300$ worth of DLC (cut content) available on the day of the release...

This game is going to awesome, and I kinda agree with MW2ismygame (a couple comments below). But MW3 is made by infinity ward like the other best cod games so I'm still pretty excited about it. Though to be honest I don't really compare these games bacause, other than the fact they are modern war fps, in terms of game play they are nothing a like. I mean tactics used in one game weren't necessarily useful in the other. And when it comes to online they are so much different. I won't say that gamers who use bugs ect to basically cheat online dont exsist on bad company but they certainly do exsist on cod which to me is possibly cods biggest downfall so its more the cod gamers that i hate, not all of them of course. Back to BF3, I've actually only played the first bad company and it was only earlier this year but even though its like 3 years old (and I played a lot of COD) the game blew my mind completly. Definitly going to get bad company 2 beforehand which will probably only add to my antisipation for BF3. Here is hoping that money does start growing on trees because otherwise I might have to reconsider my loyalty to Captain Price haha

EA I don't care about BF3 or any other game of yours til you fix the problems with online play in your NHL series of games. Seriously can we get online fun and competitive play where people are able to finish games without someone disconnecting and maybe get pay/reward leagues so players actually participate through a whole season ? BF3 pffffff just another game in the long line of 1st person war games. This game will be nothing ground breaking that is for sure.

why does everybody think the numbers of pre-orders determines the quality of a game ?ill admit i played every call of duty to date and yes sadly that pos black ops and after cod 4 the whole series got dull for me but battlefield completely took my breath away when i played bad company 1 and after that i wished i had a computer to play BF2 and still do. cod just does not cut it for me any more but every battlefield since bad.co 1 has had something new and the core series is no excption Battlefield 3 is going to be the best fps action on the 360 to date i just wish i had a computer to run it instead . so face it kids buy the better game Battlefield 3

Honestly Console gamers don't understand how many copies were sold of BF2 in the first place, full life time sales for BF2 are currently at about 7 million units sold.............. And still selling. COD never even comes close to that with about 2.5 million over the whole franchies, and Halo/Gears (No disrespect meant I love and own those too) Have only about 4/4.5 million sold in life time sales. In shot BF is a titan that deserves your repsect it's not that it dumbed it's self down for Consoles, it's that it wanted to bide it's time for the next big jump in engine tech, well this is it, and if COD dose not jump on the bandwagen they will be left behind as the great adventure begins in gaming.

And people keep bashing PC when a PC centeric game launches how much dose it sell? Not 20k, not even 50k but over 200k............. PC gaming is dead my butt. Console gaming and my fav console Xbox360 aside there was no way in hell I would ever miss out on this built for PC game. DX11 full joystick, and keyboard/mouse support even support for gamepads, plus all map packs for free on PC via patches like they did for BF2, and to top it off killer Pre-order stuff like the Back to Karkand Map pack. First thing I will do to COD noobie snipers is play Karkand and blow down a building with my tank cannon and watch him fall down like a ton of bricks and LOL my butt off after I shoot him with my 120mm game gun! ROFL!

I am just going to preorder both and wait for the gamestop's review on each to see which one I will actually pick up. I agree with 95% of the gamespots' reviews, so thank you gamestop for doing (in my opinion) a good job! Only twice did I get a game that gamestop rated highly and I pretty much loathed *cough* oblivion & Fallout 3. Thats out of 100+ games. Not bad if you ask me.

@Matttto consoles dont get 64 player maps infact they dont even get half that yeah graphics arent everything but that is a major dissadvantage

@Curarai its not that i know for certain of course, but it seems predictable, the main big game mode of battlefield is yet to be revealed at gamescom (conquest, what bf has always been about), also, i meant cod has shown all they could about high points of the campaing, of course there will be more of those but my point is that cod since mw1 has had many of those cinematic singleplayer scenes, is like its not surprising anymore that a train goes flying and crashes with a plane in mw, you expect that already, im saying they're using scenes that go as crazy as they could, even if there are many more of those in the full game, bf3 only has shown a building falling down, a few guys jumping of a clif and a jet exploding in mid air, after that its all regular gameplay, in mw they are grabbing the old graphics and style and showing new but repetitive over the top stuff with them, bf3 shows you the new graphics and thats it, when something mw style is about to happen they cut the trailer, dice already confirmed the vehicles, 2 or more new game modes, bigger maps than bf2 and the campaing lasting around 12 hours, and overall bf has always been a bigger and more varied game, so i would say they've shown very little so far

This is shaping up to be the classic quality vs quantity battle... well i say that, BF3 has both quality AND quantity (bigger maps, more weapons+upgrades and in all likelyhood a bigger campaign...) wheras MW3 has only quantity... jeez now i think about it why does anyone consider MW3 to be the superior game at all???

@nousername66 Lets hope they never do that. I mean, we are still able to drink without using a straw and are not wheelchair bound, so we can still play games that require more brain activity than the likes of CoD

The only way BF3 could sell more than MW3 is if they dumbed down the game to the level of MW3.

So like 24 people preordered?

People are always saying that the console version will be a downfall but the graphics arn't the only thing that make the game so realistic. The animations the gun features, the level design, and the SOUND! are still going to make this an awesome game no matter what u play it on. I cant wait to play this with my surround sound system cranked up!!!!!

@grgcucu I doubt your god will answer your stupid prayer about BF3 being a bad game. He has better things to do.
