Battlefield 3 out fall 2011 on Xbox 360, PS3, PC

wait a sec. is that game play? or a movie? because my eye cant blief that is agame and if so idont thig that i can ply it on my xbox 360 because its engine like real may xbox 360 cant operate it

I don't care about the drop from 64 to 24 players as long as they don't scale down the maps.

@u-got-served My only explanation for no 64 players on consoles, is the old console tech. You can thank the xbox, though xbox live is nice, its just not as fast and quick as PSN. Also the graphics on consoles would have to be dumbed down alot and im sure the new physic's engine is really heavy on memory. No offense to xbox owners, which Im one of them...But i wish they would just stop makin FPS's for it and allow Devs start the new gen of FPS gaming on PCs. With advanced physic's engines and large scale battles. Instead of suffering from the encumbrance of consoles.

We all now that battlefield give us big maps.And now back again there are jets witch means bigger maps.Why consoles will have only 24 players??? it will be like battle in one street of the map...Hope they make it like 32 players.

Woah, woah, woah. The BETA was supposedly coming out this year with the full game the year after, but it's already scheduled for the Fall? Man I fear a rush job, looks like EA is trying to capitalize on BC2 unless the BETA incentive for buying MoH was just a gimmick to buy that poor abortion of a game and the entire time BF3 was on schedule.

I was disappointed by BC2's multilayer compared with BF2, but it looks like BF3 is gonna bring back all the good stuff that BC2 left out along with still having destructible terrain and tight graphics. Can't wait!

Forget this, I'm still gonna be playing Battlefield 2.

@spino78 It's Battlefield 3 the sequel to Battlefield 2 released in 2005 but will have better graphics than Bad Company 2. I hope it uses the outpost respawn in single player skirmishes.

If Bad Company 1 is good, Bad Company 2 is amazing, then what will Battlefield 3 be like? AWESOME!!!!! Definitely gonna buy this!!!!!! Wait a second? Is this Battlefield 3 or Battlefield Bad Company 3?

I don't care how many players will the MP mode support, I'll buy it for the campaign, multipayer is just a bonus. An MP only game is not worth my money, because there are a lot of free to play FPS games out there, but you'll hardly find a full free SP shooter.

Further, Battlefield 3 will support co-op play for its campaign and will let gamers pilot jets and go prone. of a next gen shooter wow could have used this ages ago

I retract my comment I didn't look at the box art close enough. I now realize this is NOT Bad Company 3.

Didn't the 2nd one just come out... as I recall the single player campaign was as linear and non-freeroam as it gets. I want to see an upgrade of the first one if they want a purchase from me.

@zipper761882 Maybe because that is what these shooter genre is? There is alot of differences between COD and BF series...If you change up the gameplay a lot then wouldnt it cease to be a FPS shooter? It would be like making a football game without the football. If you have brilliant ideas then maybe you should go into gaming development. Even the FPS's that are really different and unique use the same multiplayer concepts as every other shooter.

never had a BF game but mite check this 1 out if theres jets in it and 64 people online are there dedicated servers like KZ3 will have ? or is it like crapy COD and there are hosts migrates

To be perfectly honest I stopped playing all the online shooters after I relized they were exactly the same thing. When is someone actually going to try something truly different? Game makers are so good at sitting on the same egg because the American consumer is too stupid to ask for more. Call of Duty, Battlefield, what honestly is the difference between the two? You chase each other around a map like a bunch of 5 year old girls playing tag. The only difference is you are shooting each other. It is the same game people have been playing since Doom, just prettier graphics. Why oh why can't people realize this?

@SPBoss, That's clearly just your opinion. You believe the Battlefield series is better than Call of Duty, but sales tell the real truth. Call of Duty is currently offering what the majority of FPS enthusiasts want. Now that may not be your taste, but it's the taste of 20 million people. And I would disagree that Battlefield is better....and I would also disagree that it's worse. They are two different types of FPS. COD is fast-paced, and can have less cooperative play (even on game modes that require it). Battlefield has only cooperative play, if you don't work with your team, you will lose, and likely die often. I personally prefer COD, but I own and play both. COD's gun play is better than BF, in my opinion. Not every loves the vehicles and destructible environment. Some people just like their FPSs to be just player versus player. Who has the quicker draw and the better wits. Better wits goes out the door when you run an Assault class across a Bradley. One thing that Treyarch's COD games have going for it, is Zombies. It is mindless coop fun. It's all about luck (the box) and teamwork. I wish more game offered something similar (not zombies, but coop play defending something against AI bots, and add in variation to make it feel fresh each time you play - ie, the box where your guns might be awesome or crap, and you have to change where/how you defend).

its a shame that the battlefield series sells less when it is obviously a million times better then cod. They should market this game more than black ops did Perhaps an advert/commercial showing how crap cod is by showing various clips followed by a narrators voice for example.. (Clip of vehicles being driven hard).. cod doesnt have this! (Destructible environments!).. cod never had this either! etc,etc :P Truthfully I think DICE deserve 20x more sales than blops ever did

Yes, looking forward to this!!! i wont go into the whole BC2 vs BF2, but i do assume Dice will use the feedback and give us the best both worlds! and i hope the expand the console MP too, 32 or maybe even 48 will be awesome, if not ill just have to upgrade me PC,

@Neyowolf I'm not sure about PC-exclusivity but yes the consolidation of platform releases IS ruining quality. For example the PC version will support 64 players but not the console version, yet MAG for the PS3 can support 256 players. If developers didn't have to ensure everything works on the Xbox Arcade as the minimum spec then PC and PS3 owners would see much better quality games.

I think what some people are forgetting is this game has been in development way before BC2 came out....the bad company series was just a spin off from the originals. Who's to say its too soon? BC2 came out in march, nearly a year ago. And they could of been workin on BF3 ever since BC1 came out.

It should be PC exclusive! The consolification of "next gen" games has really ruined the quality and creativity of games now

I'm getting geeked for this release. My favorite shooter of them all and there is some damn good ones out there. Now all you have to do is add jets and more vehicles to drive and more maps and this game is going to be off the hook. Dice rules.

Well I suppose it's good news they're trying with singleplayer and co-op, and 64 players is a good return to form, as is jets. I just can't see it being as balanced as 1942 was though.

Whilst i guess its good news battlefield was annouced, it brings upon fears that the PC version will end up with something made for the consoles. Maybe just have Battlefield 3 for the PC and then Battlefield 3 modern combat or something like that which entitles the console versions as a different game from the PC.

how big on xbox 360 up to 32 or what? i dont play pc games not into them thats why i am wondering

Co-op campaign, prone shooting and jets? I am totally in.

Battlefield 1943 wasn't worth it, and Onslaught mode is fun but not needed, hell YEAH to Battlefield 3! (Ofcourse most veterans already knew BF3 was coming. It was just waiting for it's release date)

Fellow PC gamers.. 64 player is win! :D I hope they keep destructable environments and keep the weapons balanced. (If any of you play with multiple monitors you have the upper hand, my viewing range is huge I can see enemies way out of the field of vision on a normal widescreen, If you have the money for such things, go for it ;)

The BF series is 1 of the BEST shooters...it beats more or less ALL shooters n TOTALLY PWNS CoD....n wid the Destructible environment it became EVEN better....surely gonna buy this....BF FTW!!!!

for your information guys, PLAYSTATION®3 has M.A.G ( 256 players online. i.e 4 times BF:BC3)). BTW I LOVE THIS GAME MAN..... I REALLY DO LOVE THIS. 2011 will make our pockets, u know, some kinda empty. lol
