Battle: Los Angeles invades XBLA, PC
First-person shooter adaptation of alien invasion film moves to PSN March 22.
For many gamers, Battle: Los Angeles was first known as the movie through which the existence of Insomniac's alien invasion game Resistance 3 was first revealed. However, now that the film has finally premiered, it's receiving a gaming tie-in all its own.
The Battle: Los Angeles game is now available for the Xbox 360 and PC, with Konami announcing that the PlayStation 3 edition would arrive on PlayStation Network March 22. The Xbox 360 edition of the game features stereoscopic 3D support for TVs with a "horizontal split" 3D mode and HDMI connections to the gaming system.
The Battle: Los Angeles game is a first-person shooter that sees players taking on the role of Corporal Lee Imlay and fighting alongside other characters from the film. Saber Interactive has some experience with the genre, having created 2007's TimeShift as well as 2003's Will Rock.
