Premium bundle packs in Dark Knight statue, art book, Batman: Gotham Knight, soundtrack, and early access to challenge map and Dark Knight Returns skin.
Last week, electronics retailer Best Buy let loose word that a $100 collector's edition for Rocksteady's upcoming Dark Knight game Batman: Arkham City was on the way. At the time, little was known about the contents of the pack, but today, publisher Warner Bros. made the bundle official and detailed its various pack-ins.
Inside the $100 Batman: Arkham City Collector's Edition (pictured at right) are a range of Caped Crusader-related items. These include a Batman statue created by model kit manufacturer Kotobukiya, an art book, a soundtrack (redeemable via digital download), four collectible cards, and a copy of the DC Universe animated movie Batman: Gotham Knight.
Also included in the bundle is early access to the Iceberg Lounge Challenge map and the Dark Knight Returns in-game skin.
Batman: Arkham City Collector's Edition will be available for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC when the game arrives on October 18. For more on the new Dark Knight title, check out GameSpot's latest hands-on preview with Batman: Arkham City.
Batman's gotta be the best super hero of all. He's a regular guy who takes on super-powered villains on a nightly basis. If Superman knocks Lex out,big whoop. When Batman takes out Mr. Freeze or Bane,that's something else. And now,he's in the best comic book game ever,and on October 18th,he'll one up that one! He's epic!
this is gonna be like $160 AUD or something like that, and with our dollar we could get it for less then $100USD in the US...

Whoa, the game, an animated compilation AND a KOTOBUKIYA STATUE all for USD100? That's pretty darn worth it, judging by the hundreds I've already spent on Koto's awesome statues!
that's dumb, they should include the dlc with the collector's edition, not give early access to it. especially with the large price

Sticking with the regular version. Not enough content for 40 bucks more. Got to do the math before they set these prices. I guess there are some that would blindly get it because it says "Collector's Edition". I'm not that dumb.
Wait, one of the bonus's(?) of the special expensive edition is getting in game content earlier? hmmm....me thinks that that is a bit on the BSish side
If this is less then 100 GBP in the uk it will be a must buy. but when something is 100 USD we all know it is not going to be 61.93 GBP that it should be.
Yeah, so anyone who is worried about the quality of the statue can relax. Kotobukiya is one of the best, if not THE best collectible manufacturer in the world. Take it from me, I have a couple collectibles from them and they both costed me $100 a piece; and they were worth every penny. So, if I were to upgrade to the collector's edition, the statue would make it totally worth it.
throw in the 2-3 dlc u all have already made, u know, the stuff that could be regular game but has a dlc title slapped on it, and id get this. actually scratch that. just put it in the 60$ version. thx :)
Another dev too cheap to include a real soundtrack again. A copy of the worse Batman movie (with the exception of Forever) that can be bought for about $4, not a very good inclusion. Hopefully the statue is good quality
awesome news though I am bit disspointed that the bonus custome didnt include the Batman : Beyond suit from the animated tv series.
The batarang in Arkham Asylum was cheap and nasty. If the statue weighs more than 5grams then it'll be worth it.

Won't be getting it. It's more for the hardcore batman fans... if there are any. But I can't wait for the game! :D
If the price goes down dramatically a couple months after release, which it almost assuredly will, I might pick this up.
that's not too bad for a hundred dollars, I've seen worse. For example, Halo 3's legendary pack that was a spartan helmet that you couldn't even wear. A little angry about that one.
Kotobukiya makes some of the most realistic movie statues around so no worries on detail ;)
Better than the Batarang last time around. Still doesn't feel like $100 purchase for me. If I didn't already own the movie then I would be all over this however. Can't wait for the game....even if I'm only getting the standard edition now :(
not in intrested in batman enough to pay 100$ Id rather save my money for the ac revelations collectors edition instead
Digital download? For $100 we get a statue, but not 20 cents for a CD? Why not a "digital download" of the statue? I hate digital downloads, but I guess they are better than analog downloads. I will mourn the day everything goes medialess. Would you pay $100 for a collector's edition to get a trinket but have to download the game? What am I saying, I'm preordering it right now.
$60 game, and $40 bucks for everything else (including batman sculpture)... its expensive but i guess u can call it a good deal... the sculpture alone would be worth $100 or more this time next yr so you can make ur money back if u really needed to
