Banpresto conjuring up Summon Night sequel?
Japanese sources say the series' second Game Boy Advance installment will be out this summer.
TOKYO--According to multiple sources in Japan, Banpresto will soon announce that it is releasing Summon Night: Craft Sword Monogatari 2 this summer. Like its predecessor, Summon Night: Craft Sword Monogatari 2 will reportedly be a Game Boy Advance title. Further details are unknown, and Banpresto has not yet made an official announcement of the title.
The first Summon Night was released on the PlayStation in 2000 and spawned three sequels--one for the PlayStation, one for the PlayStation 2, and one for the Game Boy Advance. While the main characters in each of the releases are different, all of the games in the Summon Night series take place in the world of Linbalm. Full of mana and nature, Limbalm has four adjoining dimensions, and people with special powers--called "summoners"--can call out beings from other dimensions. Japanese-speakers can read more about the series on Banpresto's official Summon Night site.
