Aussie game charts: June 18-24

Pokemon Diamond and Pearl take top two spots; Forza 2 crosses the line in third.
Forza Motorsport 2's reign at the top of the Australian game sales charts has proved to be short-lived, with last week's chart champ muscled out of first spot by Nintendo's newest Pokemon titles.
Pokemon Diamond and Pokemon Pearl for the Nintendo DS took our first and second spots, respectively, in the charts for the week of June 18 to June 24, according to data trackers GfK Australia. Forza 2 for the Xbox 360 had to settle for third place. PlayStation 3 titles Resistance: Fall of Man and MotorStorm continued their solid run in the overall top 10, landing at sixth and ninth position, respectively. And the denizens of Azeroth continue to grow, with World of Warcraft sneaking back into the main charts in 10th position.

Ha ha ha ha ha! The only thing that will take Pokemon out of the top 2 spots is Halo. Face cows and lemmings, Pokemon Versions are the best selling game on the face of the planet, not the fastest selling, but the best selling.

The problem for the Wii is that we won't be getting games like Paper Mario and Pokemon Colleseum til September (Laugh or you want, they will be top 2 titles). Pokemon will always be in top position irst few weeks of release, there's always been a huge fanbase for it, and will always be one. And the main reason games like singstar, buzz and the eyetoy games are always up there in the top ten is for the same reason the Wii sold ver well, but you don't need me to join those dots do you. And looking at the top ten for all 3 next gen consoles there isn't any really great games that have been 'recently' released, in the top ten.

RE:Nintedo_Man You have to be an idiot for not knowing your own charts. I've seen Motorstorm and Resistance in the top 10 charts ever since the PS3 launch, hitting across every position.
It would have helped so much if the god of war came out for ps3 like how twilight princess came out for wii. PS3 has such a lack of games. I think its best game is Resistance, but for me it is like a futuristic call of duty and is not really a killer app.
You cows have got to be kidding. If you actually followed our charts weekly then you will see that the PS3 sometimes has a game in the top 10, not this rubbish of it still being on the charts which is not true. Both Strikers and Forza have been in top spot this month and i don't remember when a PS3 game has done that. Plus you would think that Resistance and Motorstorm are the only 2 games released for the PS3 here. The PS3 is dead last here like everywhere else, the Wii and 360 are doing extremely well.
GO SOny ur titles hang strong except God Of War 2 strangely. Thanx CHurch of England for helping Resistance out.

Resistance + Motorstorm STILL in the top 10 ... and no WIi titles in the top 10 1 Xbox 360 title in the top 10 what happened to PS3 flopping down-under ? ohh and go PS2 ! Buzz! FTW lol
No surprises.. interesting to see that Resistance and Motorstorm are doing better here then they did in the US.
