AU Shippin' Out September 6-9: Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2
Don't expect to see or hear this ninja sneak into retail down under.
Another shot gets fired in the console war this week, with the modified version of Xbox 360-exclusive Ninja Gaiden 2 being released on the PlayStation 3, which is called Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2. Like previous games to bear the Sigma name, Team Ninja has essentially taken the original game and added in some new content, like two new playable characters, new enemies, and a jiggle breasts button! Expect Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 to arrive in stores around Australia this Thursday.
Fans of Spore will be pleased to hear that two new games in the franchise are on the verge of release. First up, we've got Spore Heroes for the Wii, which is designed to make use of the console’s waggle-tastic Wii Remote. In the game you create a hero, who crash-lands on a foreign planet but has taken it upon his, or herself, to save it from destruction. Along the way, you'll get to meet the inhabitants, do quests for them, and, in return, they'll give you new body parts to put on your hero. Spore Hero Arena on the Nintendo DS follows a similar concept, but instead of saving just a single planet, you’re out to save the entire universe. In this version, you create your hero and enter the battlefield to eliminate your adversaries and win the round. Think Quake 3 Arena, but more child-friendly. Spore Hero and Spore Hero Arena are slated for release later this week.
