AU Shippin Out September 27-October 1: FIFA Soccer 11
Tim Cahill stars as the cover athlete in the 2011 iteration of EA Sports' annual football game.
This week sees EA Sports and Activision go head-to-head with the release of FIFA Soccer 11 and Guitar Hero: Warriors of Rock. Although not as revolutionary as last year's game, FIFA Soccer 11 still manages to bring its share of additions to the table. The main change has been in the AI department, but as always, animations have been refined. For the first time you'll also be able to play as the goalkeeper for more than just short bursts. FIFA Soccer 11 will hit the field around Australia on Thursday.
Guitar Hero: Warriors of Rock sees Activision also trying to pump new blood into an old franchise, with the inclusion of a fully fledged story mode. Narrated by KISS guitarist Gene Simmons, the story follows your band as it attempts to liberate the god of rock from a prison. Of course, all of the familiar elements that the series is known for returns, and the disc boasts a tracklist of 93 songs. On the hardware side of things, the guitar now features an interchangeable body, while the rest of the instruments remain the same. Keep an eye out for Guitar Hero: Warriors of Rock when it takes to the stage this Wednesday.
