AU Shippin' Out May 19-29: Haze
Ubisoft's long-awaited shooter finally arrives on the PS3.
Haze is certainly no stranger to gossip or controversy. Not only was it a rumoured multiplatform title--before Sony confirmed that it was exclusive to the PS3--but it has also seen several shipping delays. This Thursday, the highly anticipated shooter from developer Free Radical is finally released into the wild. Set in the future, Haze sees you stuck in the middle of a war between a biomedical/private military company called Mantel and a rebel faction known as The Promise Hand. Mantel gives their soldiers Nectar, which is a performance enhancing drug; but it's not without some nasty side effects. You start the game fighting for Mantel in an unnamed South American country, but soon defect and find yourself fighting against your old employer. On top of the single-player campaign, Haze supports up to 16 players in competitive modes online and four players in co-op. You can check out the GameSpot review later this week.
Entering the already crowded MMO space this week is Age of Conan: Hyborian Adventures, which is loosely based on the work of Robert E. Howard. AOC features a real-time combat system, where players can have complete control of their avatar as they swing or throw their weapons. Thanks to the game's unique control scheme, players can choose which direction to swing their swords or shoot projectiles. The game comes with 30 days of free play, and will cost A$44.95 ($42.84) for 60 days of additional time cards. Age of Conan is out this Friday and costs A$79.95 ($76.20) for the standard edition, or A$109.95 ($104.79) for the limited edition version of the game. The latter includes a bonus soundtrack, leatherette map, art book, and two exclusive in-game items--a ring for greater experience points, and cape which grants free drinks in any tavern in Hyboria.
This week's new releases are listed below (list taken from retailer and publisher information--actual dates may vary).

bummer..this was one the games I was looking forward to. Oh well, still have MGS4, Conan, and Too Human coming this summer.
The reviews have slated this game, I cancelled my order, I 'm not going to ever buy this game now. Shame, I was looking forward to this, ah well saves me money. Big disappointment though.
I am going to get it but sametime love to see the review first.
Cant wait for this game PSN: Tacck
Haze will be awesome I played the demo and its the only game I want
Haze prove me wrong bruh!!
I hope it turns out well, ps3 needs more good exculsives.
the haze demo sucked
I love Free Radicals Time Splitters. Defenitly going to give a Haze a rent.
I don't know about haze, the demo was just so-so for all the hype behind it.
Haze is the only thing I want
When it comes to gaming, money is no object. I would gladly pay hundreds for gaming bliss, especially on the PC. Especially for hardware upgrades. But the $50 price point has been around forever, and now $60 is the norm on ps3, plus subscription fees for mmo's usually float around $15 per month. I can't even eat at taco bell anymore for $15. If you want to game, SAC UP!!! If you can't afford it, get a cheaper hobby.
Can't wait to for Haze 2 hit!!
77 bucks for Age of Conan!!!!???? Never...Any chance they had in me purchasing that game, they just destroyed.

I'm very interested in Haze, it has alot of hype behind it but so many great games out there. Will this be added to the list or will it just be another shooter? Haze I wish you the best of luck. Where's my damn NECTAR!!!!
wow in after u pay for 2 months ur paying more than 100 dollars for Aoc......BUT ITS STILL WORTH IT!!!!
Haze is paid for....picking it up Thursday. *dances*
I don't need nectar to... wait, it does what? Intriguing, let me try some. *Instant addiction*
That experience ring may make the special edition worth it. Less time screwing around. More time killing my friends.
I NEED NECTAR!!! ........ right now :P
I'll be grabbing a copy of Haze, but it always worries me when reviews don't appear for games until a week after release
Exclusive in game items with the limited edition? That might just make it worth it.
I'm waiting for the call from gamestop with bated breath
Haze demo was alright but it seems like it'll be one of those games that isn't bad but isn't great either. I did, however, have lots of fun playing the demo.
im already playing AoC since i preordered it =D It is awsome
aoc, aoc , aoc
finally i can play haze !!!
Silent Hill: Origins - For so long I have waited for this port. Must-have for me ^^
