AU Shippin' Out February 9-12: F.E.A.R. 2: Project Origin
Creepy little girls and violent animals hit retail shelves this week.
Despite a relatively slow start to February, this week shows improvement in the Aussie game release schedule--a precursor of what's to come over the following weeks of February.
The main attraction this week is Warner Bros.' F.E.A.R. 2: Project Origin. Ignoring the alternate storyline of F.E.A.R. Extraction Point and Perseus Mandate, Project Origin tells the story of Delta Force operator Sgt Beckett. While on a mission to arrest the president of Armacham (the evil company of the first game), Beckett gets caught up in the destruction of Auburn and is hospitalised against his will. In the hospital, thanks to surgery, he gets connected to the game's tiny antagonist, a girl called Alma. Along with the single-player campaign, Monolith has included a fairly meaty online multiplayer component, though there's no word on whether we'll see a F.E.A.R. Combat 2 come out. Expect to need a change of underwear when the game comes out on the PC, PlayStation 3, and Xbox 360 around Australia this Thursday.
The other notable releases this week include Square Enix's Star Ocean: Second Evolution for the PSP and Deadly Creatures for the Wii.

i like the game cover. It looks pretty cool. The concept rt of this game must look pretty cool.
Can't wait. Already ordered it. This will be my first horror game.
omg i hope fear 2 turns out to be over hyped crap
Yes!!! F.E.A.R. 2 - that plus Halo Wars and Modern Warfare 2 and my year is done.
nothing this week I gess
oh and stop comparing killzone 2 and fear 2... they rock both of them
i played the demo on ps3... a lot inferior then the one on pc
@berkeley0 How can you say killzone 2 is going to be better then fear 2, from what i know of the killzone games fear is going to kill it by far. I cant wait to see the story line of fear 2 the first fear story line to me was of tap so number 2 better be as good as the first one
Looks like I'm the only one getting Deadly Creatures, or at least renting it?
I'm getting F.E.A.R. 2 for sure Killzone 2 seems to be an overhyped game so ill pass
Looks good for the genre it is, but don't expect an AAA game like Killzone 2 so I'm getting Killzone 2.
JAKE POWER?! Oh snap, this week is gonna kick ass!
fear2 is probably the one i'm gonna get
fear 2 is gonna rock this is one example where you see game quality way far ahead of hollywood movies... this is true survival horror can't wait 2 get the full version
w00t I just finished First Departure last night and pumped to buy Second Evolution this week :D What good timing :D
Awesome, the demo was amazing! Though certain parts did feel a little droppy in the frame rate...
F.E.A.R. 2 is going to be amazing. The demo gave some good examples of how they have created Alma to scare you. The visuals a lot more better than the first F.E.A.R. of course Alma wise. Alma didn't come at you as much in the first, but when she did it was creepy. Im really pumped for this and I bet a lot of people are... Eg cayne_phoenix :D.
F.E.A.R. and Destroy All Humans this will be some good times
the only one i'm looking forward to out of those is star ocean.
you said it cayne_phoenix!!!
bring on the fear, bring it on Alma!!
