By Thomas Layton

Dungeons & Dragons Heroes goes gold, primed to introduce Xbox gamers to evergreen role-playing brand.

Atari has announced that Dungeons & Dragons Heroes has gone gold and will ship for the Xbox on September 23, 2003.

Heroes on the Xbox features offline four-player co-op play in seven environments of the story-driven campaign, with a choice of four classic classes: fighter, wizard, cleric, and rogue. Originally planned for the GameCube and PlayStation 2, Dungeons & Dragons is now an Xbox exclusive.
