Asia Shipping Out November 22-26: Gran Turismo 5
Dancing and racing games lead regional releases, with Michael Jackson game and Polyphony Digital's long-awaited title heading to stores.
It's been a long, long time coming, but Sony's hotly anticipated racing simulator--Gran Turismo 5--is finally ready to zoom onto PlayStation 3s this week. This console exclusive was first unveiled to the world in 2005, and during its time in production, it has reportedly racked up a US$60 million budget. But developer Polyphony Digital is aiming to have all that time and money pay off for patient gamers, packing the game with more than 1,000 cars, a horde of racing modes (including Road, Rally, NASCAR, Drift, Kart, and more), a track maker, and plenty more. Gran Turismo is scheduled for release this Wednesday, November 24.
It's not all about hardcore racing action this week, though, with music fans catered for with the release of Ubisoft's Michael Jackson The Experience. This "performance-based" game features 27 of the King of Pop's biggest hits and is set for release on November 23.
