And Yet It Moves onto WiiWare August 23
Broken Rules' gravity-defying puzzle platformer heads to Nintendo's online platform later this month for $10.
One of the more prominent titles to come out of the indie development scene in the last couple of years is And Yet It Moves. Developed by Vienna, Austria-based Broken Rules, the mind-bending puzzle platformer earned a positive reception upon its release for the PC last year. Now, Wii gamers have been given their own move-in date, as Broken Rules announced today that And Yet It Moves will arrive for WiiWare on August 23.
Winner of the 2007 Independent Games Festival Student Showcase, And Yet It Moves features physics-based gameplay in which players solve environmental obstacles by rotating the gameworld. By tilting the Wii Remote, gamers can turn a wall into a floor, for example. However, the same movement could cause a once-stationary pile of rocks to turn into treacherous tumbling boulders.
And Yet It Moves offers 20 different levels, spread across four different environments. Said environments feature a paper-collage aesthetic, and the homespun look is complemented by "handmade sounds and music."
Gamers can pick up And Yet It Moves for 1,000 Wii points ($10). For more information, check out GameSpot's previous coverage.
