Anarchy Reigns delayed again

Sega delays Platinum Games' Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 action brawler in West to later date in July; Japanese launch on July 5 unchanged.

Anarchy Reigns has been delayed for a third time. An update on the Platinum Games website reveals the studio's action brawler will miss its previously announced July 3 release date and is now slated to arrive for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 at a later date in the month. The Japanese release date of July 5 remains unchanged.

Anarchy Reigns was originally announced as a fall 2011 title, before being pushed to January 2012, and then again to July 3. No specific reason for the latest delay was divulged, with Platinum Games saying only that publisher Sega was "looking for the best time" to publish the project in the West.

Anarchy Reigns is a third-person brawler set in a postapocalyptic war zone filled with tsunamis, black holes, and other hazards. The game will feature online multiplayer using existing characters from the studio's previous title MadWorld, as well as original characters.

So, the Japanese release still comes out July 5th, so they will have an edge and more practice.....NOOOOOO!

I have no issues with this. I would have even fewer if it turned out that Lt Col Burns is a playable character. Oh, that would be sweet.

Good , i don't want them releasing a shoddy half baked game ripe with bugs. In the meantime Bayonneta will hold my attention as she always does.

What else needs to be polished when it's finished? They already pushed the date back 7 months for additional polish.

 

P* themselves said the game is finised 100% localized and everything. SEGA is just ****ing with P* fans at this point.

I really hope this game comes out soon. According to the forums over at P* the game is completely finished. SEGA just said let's not release it right now.

 

This NEEDS to come out ASAP.

My relationship with Sega is a love hate one. Platinum Games is straight up awesome though!

well with dragons domga that came out this month

lego batman 2 and spider-man next month then nothing in july i would say thats when you will see it cause this year has alot of games and they need to find a month where the game wont get lost in the crowd

another cod, borderlands 2, darksiders 2, transformers, ac3,

 @megakick After Ninja Gaiden 3, I personally wouldn't recommend anyone taking a cue from Team Ninja as they are now.

"Reorganizing" in the case of Sega lately? An accurate BS-to-English translation would be "finding new and creative ways to piss off as many people as humanly possible." Not that they haven't had a history of that or anything :awesome:
