The fact that they leave PS3 and PC gamers behind just to be a-holes, if we cared, forfeits any right they have to my money. Why should i pay you, a ridiculous price, for a map pack later than someone else. Nyope.

@dre256x You make some good points, but my issue isn't with Activision making money by selling DLC, it's the rate at which they supply us with DLC. I believe that Activision is taking advantage of their CoD consumers by forcing them to buy excessive amounts of additional maps at inflated prices (Killzone 3 map packs are $5 and Resistance map packs are FREE). Now I know there are plenty of people who are going to say "If you don't want to pay $15 for the map pack, you don't have too "! And to an extent, they are right. However, if you want to enjoy a SEAMLESS online experience with CoD, you HAVE to buy the map packs and I'll explain why. If you are in a lobby and the next map chosen is one you have not purchased, what happens when the match begins? That's right, you get kicked (which is exceptionally frustrating when you had exceptional signal). Now if you choose not to spend the $60 to purchase all four map packs (and most likely a 5th one if Activision keeps up this pace), then you are going to get kicked from over half of the lobbies you are in because there are only 14 standard maps vs. 16 DLC maps (20 if the 5th map pack happens). If you are okay with getting kicked from over half of the lobbies you join, then yes, you do not have to purchase the map packs. However, if you want a seamless online experience, then you are somewhat forced to fork out the $60 just so you can stop getting kicked before you get a chance to play.

I'm so glad I skipped out on Black Ops, these map packs are getting ridiculous....

It's not a bad deal: $15 for, let's say, 100h of play means 15c per hour. Much cheaper than $60 per 6 hours of some singleplayer-only games.

i like cod and all i have everycod game there were, but.... seriously im not gonna pay mofo that much for DLCs. i miss the old days like in WAW and MW1 where the map packs and stuff were free. Treyarch is getting creative with the maps and all illl give them that, but their publisher Activision has become a money hungry corporation.

wtf.... Why wont you people just stop with this series!? It irks me as a gamer! Plus, KZ3 got 4 new maps for $5 and there are other devs that know how to not ripoff gamers. Stupid COD BS, its annoying. The #1 sold game, and its stupid that everyone only plays this game when they could be enjoying more games that DESERVE the attention. At least switch to BF3 and like MW3 die this go around.. The kids are a major factor in all this BS tho, doubt they will listen

If COD games came out every two years, instead of each year, these add-ons I suppose would be understandable for the fans to acquire. But there is a new COD annually....

Why don't they start working on a game that is good...

I've run out of things to say about all these add-ons... Shouldn't even be surprised they ate working on (hell, maybe even done with) yet another Crap Pack.

Even though i dont play BO anymore i have to admit that people trolling it are as bad as the ps3 vs xbox 360 fan boys !! You DONT have to play this game, there are others out there. I play Killzone instead of BO because its my preference but i dont waste my time spewing crap about BO. So what if they release new maps every few months, for people who enjoy this game its good for them, the pricing may be a bit high but they know people will pay whatever for it so they are using that advantage whilst they can

If people are willing to pay ... I don't see a lot of value in $15 map packs though. Of course, I've only really invested a lot of time in MW2 before the glitching got really out of control too. I get that people love CoD, but it all starts to become the same after a while, doesn't it? When did Activision actually do anything new in the series? I'm a little bitter though. I've got friends who are still playing MW2 multiplayer vs trying something even a little newer like AC:Brotherhood, even though that game is over a year old now too.

Why don't they just call it "Left for Duty", since they seem so affectionate to zombies...? :D

Yep! Comments provided here give you an idea as to how ridiculous this is! Call of crap is just that CRAP! and we are not willing to pay for this crap. Amateurs, feel free to spend your money at will.

Nah, waste of time and money. Multi-player maps are small as always. It's like playing CS-S but in this case CS-S is better.

I'm tired of people cryin about the add-ons and how much they cost. If you dont want them dont get them even though you probably are. People who are crying keep comparing CoD to Battlefield even though it will always be a matter of opinion. SniperSight7's comment says it perfectly. P.S. Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 only had 2 DLCs, this is the second time an article has made that mistake.

So much complaining, so much apparent anguish. The simple resolution is to make a personal choice. Buy it or not. People act like they're owed something for "loyalty." Businesses are about making money. There are many who won't buy a DLC for any reason, others buy them all, yet people seem to think that by labeling this "a rip off," that people will see the light, per se. Do you really think the Battlefield crew isn't CONSIDERING the same thing? Don't kid yourselves.
