@ nini200 retro has nothing on what rareware used to be. retro can keep the new donkey kong with its shocking waggle controls.
Publishing giant's latest URLs hint that new title in esteemed shooter franchise is on the way; no official word yet from Activision.
Last November, Activision's GoldenEye 007 for the Wii garnered a strong critical reception for its Daniel Craig-led campaign mode and its deathmatch multiplayer option, a staple of the lauded 1997 N64 original. Now, it appears Activision is gunning for another new entry in the series.
The publisher has grabbed a slew of new domain names (as spotted by Internet sleuth Superannuation) that suggest it's working on a new game called GoldenEye 007 Reloaded. The domain names registered by Activision are: GoldenEyeReloadedGame.com, GoldenEye007GameReloaded.com, GoldenEye007Reloaded.com, and GoldenEyeReloaded007.com.
Unfortunately, further information on GoldenEye 007 Reloaded is not available, and as of press time, Activision has not responded to GameSpot's request for comment or clarification on the matter.
Another new James Bond game reportedly in development is a title based on the upcoming Bond film, tentatively named Bond 23. That game has not been made official by Activision, but it is expected to arrive alongside the new film in November of next year.

If you folks want the same game "retooled" then the good people that originally developed it (Rare) should re make it.. last i heard they are now owned by Microsoft.
I was extremely disappointed in the redone version of GoldenEye, I was silly enough to expect a retooling of the original and not something completely different altogether. Maybe this "Reloaded" is just that? A remake of 007 pure?
I wish someone would take the formula from Goldeneye 007 N64 (Not the plotline but how the gameplay was programed back in the day) and amplifed it into a rediculous game and more challenging. Yea, the gameplay should look very similer to the N64 game but it should have nothing to do on the movie licened game.
so what we are probably looking at here is, generic shooter built using the call of duty engine, with 'goldeneye' slapped on the cover to try and make it sell, great........
@reeddavi I would love a GoldenEye 3DS version especially if they had online multiplayer. I'm still really enjoying Golden Gun multiplayer matches on my Wii.
Please don't mess it up. Either leave it alone or make it really good. The Wii one was very meh. I just don't know if any remake will ever capture the glory of Goldeneye 64.
My GOD Activision just rack off already! let Rare deliver it's PROPER completed HD goldeneye 007 remake and stop using lawsuits to block it while you pump out these cash-in sub-par goldeneye games! Let us have the ONE TRUE Goldeneye already!
Looks pretty good but it really didnt blow my skirt up......i dont think ill go out and buy it maybe rent it
@nintendoboy16 Ah yes, you're right, that's it. They are now Crytek UK, they haven't really done much though...
Okay, let the hate mail begin. Nintendo still owns rights to GoldenEye games. Simply put, this means no GoldenEye for PS3 or 360. Furthermore, Nintendo still owns rights for the original GoldenEye game. That will not be making it's way to 360 or PS3 either. My prediction is that it'll be another GoldenEye Wii game... maybe just an updated version of the current with bonus content or something like that. Let's not forget that it is entirely possible that this may be a GoldenEye for the 3DS... Dream on fanboys, this one is stuck to Nintendo. =P
Rare seems to be handling more 360 Avatar-like software than actual games these days. I'm betting that this Reloaded is an XBLA/PSN version of the original GoldenEye.
I just want to point out a few things: First thing: If PS3 and 360 get Goldeneye, the Wii/WiiU should get a new version of Perfect Dark. Its only fair. Second thing: Most of you talking about milking will be the first ones to buy the game just like you do COD. Third thing: Activision has a gold mine with COD. If you had a super successful series (regardless of if its the same thing or not), Would you stop making it because a few people claim that you are milking it? I dont think so. Fourth thing: Rare is not the same company it was when they were with Nintendo. Alot of members left and formed Free Radical which makes TimeSplitters. If Free Radical made a new Goldeneye, I believe it'd be a very similar experience to the original. Fifth thing: Retro Studios has basically replaced the Rare we knew. Retro is just as good if not better than the original Rare. If anybody needs to do a new Goldeneye/Perfect Dark, it NEEDS to be Retro Studios.
So where's Free Radical, or whatever it is the old Rare team members call themselves now? The people who made Goldeneye 64 made it what it was, not James Bond. Why can't those guys make another game? Attach whatever characters you want to it, it'll be better than newimprovedgoldeneye007reloaded.
@TheJamin The Rareware that we have today has changed drastically over the past decade. If they could screw up Banjo-Kazooie I shudder to think what they would do to goldeneye.
@smoke_dog_4ever "The remake was totally wasted as a Wii exclusive where there ISN'T a strong FPS market as compared to the 360, PS3, and PC." Yet lacking FPS games on the Wii is one of the reasons Goldeneye is on there. Like Tatsunoko vs Capcom is on the Wii because it also lacks fighting games that aren't Super Smash Bros.
It's either for Wii, Wii U or 3DS, it can't be for 360 or PS3 because Nintendo owns the rights to the games.
007 Goldeneye for N64 has one of the best multiplayer i ever seen. And if u tried this title you can not disagree
i liked the game for n64 alot but that wii version was awful to even be called goldeneye, it was so meh... id rather prefer an actual remake or just hd remake
DLC Coming soon: Odd Job character pack INCLUDING HAT....£10 Classic map pack with TWO!! ZOMG maps...£15 Updates announced to counter glitches.....360 EXCLUSIVE!!! OH how I cannot wait
Give it up, put goldeneye 007 to rest, everytime I hear that this game is coming out again I see it as a disgrace to the original. Rareware made a great game, no one will compare to it, not even the original studio would be able to replicate it now.
An HD version of the original with multiplayer would suffice and actually be the best thing they could do with it. The Wii version tried something new and was complete crap.
If the new goldeneye was on 360/ps3/pc i would of got it. Sadly Wii gaming doesn't intrest me anymore/
Back in 1997 if you told me a new Golden Eye game was coming out every year I would think that is the coolest thing ever. I hear that now and realize how stupid it is to milk the same thing every year.
I think its gonna be for the WiiU ea did goldeneye 06 on multi platform, hope with mic and same system at CoD online, otherwise i want the same gameplay with the wii remote and CCP no change but HD.
