Atari has released the PC demo for Act of War: Direct Action; download lets gamers fight through five mini-missions.
Atari today released the demo for its upcoming real-time strategy Act of War: Direct Action. The game is a "technothriller" set in the near future and scribed by retired Air Force officer and Plan of Attack author Dale Brown. The complex story begins with a terrorist attack on San Francisco and escalates into multiple strikes on different locations around the globe by a terrorist organization known as The Consortium. The 685MB download lets players preview the game's sixth operation, which is broken down into five smaller missions. Additionally, the download is available now on GameSpot DLX. The full game is slated for a March 15 release.
