AU Shippin' Out August 22-26: Deus Ex: Human Revolution

All conspiracies have to start somewhere, and this week Eidos takes players back to the start with Deus Ex: Human Revolution.

The video games drought in Australia comes to an end this week, with the release of Deus Ex: Human Revolution on the Xbox 360, PC, and PlayStation 3. Set years before the original game from 2001, Human Revolution tells the story of a conspiracy surrounding human augmentations and is set to fill in the blanks as to why UNATCO was formed. One of the biggest changes from the previous games that has ignited the fans has been the departure from a health-pack-reliant system to regenerative health. After years of development, it's finally crunch time for this highly anticipated role-playing game.

The other major release this week is Rugby World Cup 2011 from HB Studios. It's been a good few years since the last rugby union game released, so a new game based on the sport is well overdue. Rugby World Cup features numerous stadiums and 20 licensed teams; however, the All Blacks and Wallabies are both unlicensed. Sadly for HB Studios, its biggest rival--Rugby Challenge--has exclusive video game rights to those teams.

Other games out this week include Pac-Man and Galaga Dimensions for the Nintendo 3DS and two PC adventure games: Echoes of the Past: The Castle of Shadows and Redemption Cemetery: Curse of the Raven.
