Tecmo Koei launches first Facebook game
JollyWood beta testing begins tomorrow on social networking site; plans call for expansion to more platforms in the future.
Gamers who yearn for the days of building a pimped-out tree house or at least wish to decorate a rainforest tree with all manners of amusements can look forward to Tecmo Koei's first foray into social network games. The publisher today announced that the forest-themed JollyWood will begin its beta phase tomorrow on Facebook.
In JollyWood, players are given the task of designing a resort for animals on a giant tree. The social network game lets gamers build facilities for use, gadgets for tinkering and getting around the tree, and decorations for beautifying the resort. Players can also show off their dream resort to other JollyWood users and compare achievements via the ranking boards.
JollyWood is being developed at Tecmo Koei's Singapore studio. While it is limited to Facebook for now, Tecmo Koei has plans to expand the game onto other social networking sites.
