Dragon Ball Game Project set for fall launch
Spike developing newest Xbox 360 and PS3 game based on original manga series; playable version to surface at Comic-Con.
It has been years since the Dragon Ball manga and TV series wrapped up their runs, but that hasn't stopped the franchise from receiving new gaming adaptations with great regularity. Namco Bandai today announced the latest such effort, Dragon Ball Game Project AGE 2011 (working title) for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.
Like the Dragon Ball Z: Raging Blast games, Project AGE 2011 will be developed by Spike Co. Ltd. The new game will cover the Dragon Ball Z series and boast "a massive character selection." However, Namco Bandai is touting the title as "a new landmark game" in the franchise, with a revamped story mode and destructible environments.
Dragon Ball Game Project AGE 2011 is expected to be shown in playable form at July's San Diego Comic-Con. For more on Spike's last crack at the series, check GameSpot's review of Dragon Ball: Raging Blast 2.
