BlizzCon is on for Oct. 21-22
Annual convention of all things Blizzard will once again be held at the Anaheim Convention Center this fall.
Traditionally, BlizzCon has been held either in August or October. Today, organizer Blizzard Entertainment announced that the annual convention dedicated to its games will arrive during the latter month from October 21-22, in virtually the same slot as last year's October 22-23 expo.
The announcement did not say when tickets for the event would go on sale. Last year, they went on sale in June and--as has been the case for the past several years--sold out in a matter of minutes. The rapid sellouts came despite a premium price point, with last year's tickets costing $150 each.
Details on this year's BlizzCon are thin, other than it will feature tournaments, community contests, discussion panels, and other miscellaneous events. Last year's events included the unveiling of Diablo III's demon hunter class, sessions on pro tips on Starcraft II, Diablo III's design, and a Starcraft II balancing. The event also featured a performance by Jack Black's rock duo Tenacious D and emcee duties filled by comedian Jay Mohr.
