Nebuchadnezzar II, Genghis Khan invade Civ V Oct. 25
Mongol Empire DLC sallies into Firaxis' turn-based strategy game for free next week; Babylonian Digital Deluxe add-on sold individually for $5.
One of the perks that 2K Games and Firaxis packed into the $60 Civilization V Digital Deluxe edition last month was the keys to Babylon. Now, gamers who still have a yen to conquer the world as Nebuchadnezzar II but not drop an extra $10 to do so can purchase the Babylonian Civilization pack for $5, beginning October 25.
Led by Nebuchadnezzar II (c. 630 - c. 561 BC), the Babylonian civilization begins in Mesopotamia, cradled between the Tigris and Euphrates rivers in modern-day Iraq. A primary benefit for the nation is the Babylonian bowman, a ranged-attack unit.
Firaxis also has a batch of free content primed for release on October 25. Namely, the studio will loose Genghis Khan's horsemen legions with the Mongol Civilization and Scenario pack. Gamers will begin their pillage of Europe in much the same way as Khan did during the 13th century, on the harsh steppes of Asia.
