Mahjong, My Exotic Farm planted on DSiWare

On Sunday, Nintendo will cut the price of the DSi and DSi XL by $20 apiece, dropping the former to $150 while the latter slips to $170. Those looking to stock up on downloadable titles have a handful of new options this week, as three of the five new titles added to Nintendo's online store are compatible with the third and fourth generations of the DS.

Engine Software isn't the first to bring a tile-matching game to the DSiWare channel, but it certainly is the latest. Titled Simply Mahjong, the game is a portable version of the Chinese tile-matching game, where players must couple identical blocks that aren't locked by bordering pieces. It costs 200 DSi points ($2).

Nothing says exotic like wildebeests, and the raising thereof.

With agriculture sims being all the rage on social networks like Facebook, BiP Media will be bringing My Exotic Farm to DSiWare. Checking in at 200 DSi points ($2), the game starts aspiring farmers with "an empty field, a few pennies, and a single parrot," tasking them with building out a bustling ranch.

Abylight delivers the final DSiWare addition this week, as Music On: Acoustic Guitar clocks in at 200 DSi points ($2). The game includes a predefined chord selection that players can strum along to, as well as a directory of 900 chords that can be used on an actual guitar. Players can choose from five different styles--pop rock, soft rock, country, ballad, and blues--as well as access advanced features like palm mute.

Revistronic provides the sole WiiWare release this week with Fenimore Fillmore - The Westerner. Available for 1,000 Wii points ($10), Fenimore Fillmore combines elements of the adventure and shooter genres, as the game's titular hero explores the Wild West, playing middleman in an ongoing feud between cattle ranchers and farmers.

Samurai Shodown III occupies the Virtual Console slot this week. The NeoGeo classic costs 900 Wii points ($9), and players can choose from 12 different samurai to defeat the game's villainous end boss, Zankuro Minazuki. Improvements over the second installment in the series include the ability to defend in midair as well as alternate ways to fill the rage meter.
