The "Ultimate" tag is proving to be popular with publishers as of late. Electronic Arts titles Battlefield: Bad Company 2 and Dragon Age: Origins have ultimate versions reportedly planned. And today another publisher and franchise may have joined the race.

According to Australia's Office of Film and Literature Classification (OFLC), Microsoft's Turn 10 development studio is planning a Forza Motorsport 3: Ultimate Collection. Unfortunately, the ratings listing provided nothing in the way of details on the purported edition. And as of press time, a Microsoft representative has not responded to GameSpot's request for comment or clarification on the matter.

Forza Motorsport 3 was released exclusively on the Xbox 360 in October 2009. It has since sold more than 2 million units and played host to abundant paid content expansions including the Jalopnik Car Pack, the World Class Car pack, and others. Every piece of content (except for the VIP Car Pack) has sold for 400 Microsoft points, or $5.

Typically, premium editions issued months after a game is released contain either expansions or downloadable content for the game. It is likely the Ultimate Collection would contain some--or all--of the numerous Forza 3 downloadable content packs. However, as of press time, retailer listings could not corroborate the OFLC listing.
